Sodas were WAY over priced, when I said I didn’t want them…… they told me it was “too late since I paid with a debit card. That they didn’t know how to refund debit cards.”Then when I arrive to my destination with my food, my burrito was mostly tortilla and missing the avocado and sour cream. My go to will continue to be taqueria agave, they never disappoint. Man, what a rip off!

First visit as a local and white family . Front register girl right away very rude to us and we felt it was definitely discrimination against us as a white family as we were nice and polite but she was outward expressing hate. She was very .insulting, rolled her eyes and looked us up and down as trash even though nicely professional dressed and very polite to her. She seemed to find amusement at laughing at us. Food mediocre not authentic, not hot . They pile old lettuce on your food to make it look like a lot and put maybe one small spoon of rice on the plate same with beans. Very cheaply poorly made. Restaurant not clean and no one cleaning . Bad smell of old clorox on everything. Table sticky dirty and noticed hot sauce bottles filthy and no caps ! I saw her rudeness to others as well and noted she was rude to a sweet Asian family with pure hate on her face. One star.. Will never return.. Take your restaurant dollars somewhere else that appreciates your business and makes decent food and treats you with respect no matter what race you are. Awful. Before you bash us for staying we have blood sugar issues and were starving were stuck in traffic and had to eat.

This is hands down the best taqueria I've ever been to and I've been to alot. From their homemade chips, to the homemade salsa bar, to the beans, their micheladas, breakfast burritos. It's all fresh and AMAZING! I'm Mexican and I'm really particular when it comes to my Mexican food. They are also SUPER friendly. Portions are generous and prices are not outrageous. We will go there every time we go to Santa Cruz.

I don't know what happened to the refried beans but they were not as good as they used to be: really runny and just not what we've come to expect. I hope it was just a one day version

Excellent food, always. Generous portions. Everything is always hot and fresh. One of my favorite places to eat in Santa Cruz. I highly recommend Taquería Vallarta!

So good. Their salsa is amazing. I always get the super tacos. So good! Also very quick and friendly staff

Enchiladas were decent. GF ordered a veggie burrito and got rice and cheese only...not great.

Good tacos. Friendly service. Good price. Good portion. Plenty of parking space.

Fish tacos are not good. The cashier is not very friendly. The burritos are good though.

From my experience, to Taqueria Vallarta on Soquel Avenue has better tasting food than the one on Mission Street. They are all pretty good but the one on Soquel and my opinion is the best. Sometimes the one on Mission Street has a lot of fat in the meat but on Soquel it's always better.
