The Pastor and Asada tacos are fire. If you dont think these tacos are amazing you don't know what a good taco is.
One of the things I miss terribly in Colorado is good Mexican food. There are many good taquerias in Santa Cruz, but this is my favorite. Everything is fresh, the beans are cooked fresh after soaking, freshly squeezed jugo de naranja, outstanding salsa bar. The food comes out fast, hot and muy sabroso
Amazing tacos!! The shrimp, al pastor and the carne asada was soo good. And definitely filling! Gotta eat them quick for take out, or it gets soggy. And the chips they gave were really really good too!!
Plenty food and quick service. Tacos & the asada dishes seem to be their specialty with hefty meat servings. Flavor is ok, ordered the enchilada. The breakfast plate seemed delicious & filling.
A must have when ever we are in town. Burritos and the beach. What could be better?

The biggest chile relleno I've ever seen and my shrimp fajita was great but too much food for 1 person. Great friendly service. Highly recommend but come hungry or with a cooler for leftovers.
We pick up lunch at Taqueria Vallarta once a week as the foods good; Chicken crispy tacos no beans are my favorite. The establishment feels dated and could be freshened up, however they do have a booming lunch business.
The food here is excellent. This is undoubtedly the best taqueria experience in California. You order at the counter and they bring your plate to you at your table, or you can take out. You may call ahead and pick up your order to go.Service used to be better when they had napkin dispensers on each table, and they were more generous with salsa.
