Always get the Indian Monsooned Malabar when I go there, it's amazing with Honey and Cream
This shop is almost always extremely busy...for good reason. They serve wonderful coffee and baked goods. The lines move quickly and the staff is extremely friendly and efficient. Don't let the lines dissuade you from placing an order. You will be glad you stopped in.
Incredible place, delicious coffee, very kind workers, no parking lot!
One of the best coffee shops in Santa Cruz and many good choices. My fav is the Ethiopian light roast.
Always and still loving this place!
Friendly staff, great coffee, not corporate.
Getting some good vibes when walking up to see any of my friend's over at the Santa Cruz coffee roasting company in the morning, and a nice area to chill out.
I went to sc roasting company and was treated so badly by the tall man at the counter with spiky white hair. First he ignored us very obviously then when we didn’t go away ( and I wanted to) he was like hello, with attitude like he had been waiting on us! We’d been standing there while he repeatedly turned his back when my boyfriend started to talk. I asked for the lemon cheese cake I just watched him put in the case and he lied and said they didn’t have any, then when I told him I just watched him place it in there the he changed his story and said it was too cold and wouldn’t be ready for 10 mins!!his attitude was rude and outright racist! I will not be returning and I highly recommend anyone of color not go there either!
Well designed space with great lighting and plenty of artwork on the walls. Coffee is very, VERY good. Wifi is surprisingly weak, though.Employees were super cool, but I have one minor complaint. Once my order was finished it was placed at the pick up window. Since I was seated on the other side of the shop I didn't hear when my name was called. Nobody attempted to locate me, which meant I ended up drinking a lukewarm coffee. I could have avoided this by waiting at the pick up window, but I feel like more of an effort could have been made to make me aware that my coffee was ready. Also, there are practically no outlets near any of the tables. They're all covered up. If you're interested in finding a coffee shop with strong wifi where you can work remotely for an extended period of time, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
I love this place! They have a happy hour M-F 1-4pm where they have interesting drinks for $2. Their coffee is also some of the cheapest you can find! It's delicious and they have some AgroEco varieties which is a good charitable cause. Usually takes about 5 minutes after you put the order in for the drip coffee to be ready, if it's not too busy.
