Used to be one of my favorite places to eat in Santa Cruz but I guess that's what happens when you switch owners paper menus not a very big menu at all one domestic beer available who does not have Coors original beer? And back in the day they had about five different steaks to choose from I seen one New York steak on the menu my girlfriend had prime rib tasted like ham never again!

The French onion soup alone is worth the visit. This place is so delicious and the staff are very friendly and offer great menu suggestions. Everything we ordered was amazing ?
The most mediocre ribs I've ever had, and a full rack is definitely not a full rack. They have old prices on the menus online. The service was very poor. I tried to order to go and they kept leaving me just standimg there at the entrance, and they were not that busy. I think she could tell I was getting politely annoyed so the saving grace was that she brough that awfully mediocre food outside to me sitting in the car with my dog. So they get an one star for that.Maybe I'm spoiled being from Chicago but I would never go to HQ again, I honestly feel ripped off.
Ridiculous water of money! We had the most miserable service ever. They were out of things, what you got for the price was unreasonable. I was taken here for my birthday. It was a very sorry dinner.
My family and I just had dinner there. It was Saturday night. The restaurant is absolutely freezing. We talked to the manager about it and he said they have to keep all doors and windows open due to Covid and needing airflow. It is 7pm at night and every restaurant we been to in past 6+ months is not freezing their customers like this place is. In addition, I ordered the baby back ribs and there was barely any meat on it and tons of fat. The fries were small and very crisp as if it was bottom of the bucket. My wife had the Chipotle Potato soup and it was too spicy to eat.We have not been there in a year or so and the menu has really changed. They are charging for basic bread and butter (which never seen any restaurant ever do), removed a lot of their best items such as half a chicken, and prices have increased. My family and I will not be back again and are very disappointed with this once great restaurant.
Atmosphere warm an friendly. Great food customers were very happy to be there. Great experience. Staff excellent. My 2nd time coming here. Will always come here when in Santa Cruz. Thank you for a wonderful experience

A group of ladies I volunteer with brought me here and it's got the best server/ bartender. He always greets us happily and know all of our orders very. Very personal
Last minute decision but the food AND service was perfect.
An update to previous reviews mentioning karaoke. They no longer have karaoke. Likely due to COVID-19.
