Reasons for low rating:1. Too salty every dish, and unnecessary vinegar.2. Slow service (15 min before the first dish, and 30 min before getting all dishes), but charged a mandatory 15% service fee.3. Even though the service fee is included, still left an option for tips. This is not right, let's be honest to customers.=============================================And here is something very personal. We visited this restaurant a year ago, this place was superrrr good. Awesome dishes, great service, friendly staff and reasonable price. We came to this restaurant 2 times in 2 days, and had great memory. One time we came after surfing, and were super hungry and got incredibly satisfied with the dishes here. Just today, we got a chance to visit Santa Cruz again, and we directly came to this restaurant. However, everything has changed in a terrible way. I don't know what has made it so different, as the menu is exactly the one we were given 1 year ago. I am feeling very sad about this change, I hope it is just because it is the July 4th holiday, and caused by under-staff. Not giving one star because I am still hoping you can get back the original quality.Sincerely
I was looking for a Vietnamese dish but they didn’t have it so they called someone over to help me. I spoke with a different server who said he could make a soup close to what I was looking for. When it was served it wasn’t even close but I tried it. It was probably the worst soup I’ve ever tired, and I didn’t even eat it. When it came time to pay I was given a bill and when I questioned it they said it was so high due to Covid. After my 1st experience here I would never recommend it and I’ll never be back. Some may have better experiences than I did but if they say they can make a dish but don’t deliver don’t charge 4 times what the normal dish would be.
Good food, extremely large portions. Had the D-1 combo and it was large enough for 2-3 people easily.
Very authentic flavors! Amazing customer service. They offered from two menus. Alot of dishes to choose from. We love this place!!! Very welcoming.

Be careful when you pay for your food. They charged us 27.99 for a dish that was supposed to be 17.99. The combination fried rice was alright. The "spicy" schezuan beef had no spice at all and when I reached for the chili paste and the jar it was in had old dried up dark paste around in inside like it hadn't been cleaned out. The scallops were rubbery and had no flavor. We tried a few other dishes but all in all everything we got was overpriced for very low quality of the food. Employees seemed kinda nice but also made us feel very rushed . When we walked in, there was only 1 other group of people (it was around dinner time/ about 5pm) so we were shocked there wasn't really anyone eating there. The only nice part of the restaurant was the interior, the decor was really nice to look at. Just wish they put better effort into their food and employees cared about making their guests feel comfortable.
The place inside was so pretty, relaxing. The Wonton soup was my favorite! The Mongolian beef was a little too salty ( for me ) lemon helps. Oh no free refills on drinks :(The green beans was delicious! Very beautiful wallpaper in the bathroom too!! :) would go again
My mom is from china and I grew up spoiled on homemade chinese so I’m a bit picky when it comes to takeout quality and flavor. I’m happy to say this spot exceeded expectations! Plus, when I went in to pick up my food, I was warmed by childhood nostalgia because of the comfortable family atmosphere. Xie xie!
Lovely, authentic Chinese restaurant! We were in town for Thanksgiving and found this delightful spot for dinner. The menus offer both Chinese American comfort food options and well as authentic Chinese (Hunan) dishes. We enjoyed our food family-style around a lazy Susan with a continuous top up of tea. Really glad we found this place and we ended up returning also for lunch the next day.
