Others have mentioned the pop up stand outside Fisherman cafe. Loved the folks running it esp. the lobster hat. These were the best lobster rolls we found in Maine. and the blueberry pie was exceptional -- we bought a whole one.

Only place open in late August on a Monday but did not disappoint. Fried Haddock sandwich was delicious! The blueberry pie is a must try too. So friendly. Outdoor only due to labor shortage but what they had was fresh and good!

Passing through Winter Harbor on our way to Schoodic, the hot dog sign grabbed our interest. Everybody in the car said that a hot dog would be a great snack just then. Little did I know that I would have the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had. We parked in the back, walked up the little path next to the restaurant and were greeted with a few tables full of people, several people in line, and a man behind the makeshift counter in a lobster beanie shouting out the rundown on his lobster rolls, pickles and homemade blueberry pie. At the top of the menu was a Fried Haddock Sandwich. I thought I’d try it instead of a hot dog, and boy am I glad I did. Perfectly cooked fried fish with a crunchy outside and a hot and flaky fish inside sat between the halves of a lovely brioche-type roll. After smearing the roll with a kiss of the included tartar sauce, I bit into this sandwich and all my taste buds lit up. Taste, texture, temperature were all perfect. Now I’m hoping I will get back soon to enjoy another of these lovely sandwiches. And according to the other passengers in the car the hot dogs were good as well.

We were staying in Winter Harbor and although we were sad that the restaurant is temporarily closed, we discovered that they have set up a great hot dog stand selling delicious lobster rolls, haddock rolls and blueberry pie! We even bought a whole pie on our last day to take on to our next stop down the coast.

While visiting the Schoodic Peninsula we stopped for lunch at the pop up Hot Dog Cart set up outside of the Fisherman's Galley Restaurant and run by their staff. To be honest, I didn't have great expectations based on the roadside set up but I should never judged this book by it's cover. I think the tent outside is a way they have managed to stay open during the pandemic and they deserve kudos for making it work! We chose to have the lobster rolls - hot buttered - rather than the stand's namesake hot dog and were blown away how good they were. The best tasting and most affordable we have tasted on our trip to Maine (and we have been eating a ton of lobster rolls)! My instincts told me to buy a slice of blueberry pie for dessert and the offer to make it a la mode by the charming man in the lobster beanie taking our order sealed the deal. OMG - it was AMAZING! I'm not even a huge fan of pie, but it just felt like the thing to do in Maine. It was so delicious, we bought a whole pie to take home. Having just finished the whole pie, I can say that it held up and the crust stayed crispy right up to the last bite. Do yourself a favor and make the drive over to Winter Harbor to eat here - you won't regret it.

the cafe is still closed, due to their inability to hire staff. However, they are serving lobster rolls ($20), and hot dogs outside. They are making the best of it! And they are very tasty. These are good people making the best of a difficult situation.

The restaurant is closed for the season. But their pop up outside called the Hot Dog Cart serves excellent dogs, lobster rolls and blueberry pie. We spotted it on our way Acadia/Schoodic peninsula. Perfect spot for lunch overlooking Winter harbor and literally a couple of minutes from the park entrance. Best place for lunch if your in the area.

We came to this restaurant for dinner. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very nice. The staff welcomed us with a smile and we felt good. The meal was great. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. Keep it up.
