Great food~pricing & service ?
Excellent dinner, prices didn't go to high. Just a couple dollars more. Got mushroom enchilada and it was very good. My friend took a bite of it and will get it next time we go there.
I have been to this restaurant several times and it is fairly consistent.I planned ahead for a birthday party of 20 people. 32 people ended up showing up.The staff knew we were coming so they brought in more people to accommodate thr larger party. The service was great and very friendly, they made sure everything worked for us and accommodated all our requests.The food was as expected, not anything amazing but was very good.Overall a very nice experience and we will continue to come here.
This a nice place to enjoy a meal, small but clean and Friendly staff, Menudo here is just how my mom made it ? , whenever I'm in the area I think of this spot. ?
Who doesn’t love some delicious Mexican food. I am a very picky eater, but when I find a favorite, they are my place.El Chino is a long standing Mexican restaurant here in Santa Cruz, and I guess you could call it a hole in the wall. The shredded beef is to die for. My ultimate favorite is the ranchero burrito with shredded beef. When I get bored with that, I change it up to shredded beef crunchy tacos. But everything they have is delicious! I have never been dissatisfied. Salsa is excellent. I always get a 16oz to have some at home for the week.Check them out next time you're cravingdelicious Mexican food.
I'm not sure how this place works. The last four times I was there, I counted no less than three employees, and each time, only a single to-go order was picked up. So over an hour, the total bill for me was less than $20 and a small call in order for maybe $30. How are they even making enough to pay minimum wage? Unless the place is just a front for a laundering scheme, the math just doesn't add up.
El Chino is our go to, most flavorful mexican restaurant! Omgosh, Friendly, all welcoming, personable service. We moved to Boulder Creek, 13 years ago, looking for our style of fare...and you must, must come here. I have a shot of Don Julio with my meal evertime! The best meal ever! For your dollar!
The food was decent and the staff very attentive. unfortunately I got the same dish my friend she got medium rare so I I guess I didn't hear her because they gave me the same thing. Lol! All in all it was a good experience
El Chino isn't a restaurant, it's an institution.It's nostalgia on a plate. Wonderful customer service, and excellent food. It's a hidden gem.
Staff is friendly, service is great. Food was yummy. Drinks aren't the best but totally fine and the bartender aims to please, most importantly the added price for alcohol with a meal was reasonable. Definitely a locals favorite for many years.
