We actually really like the place overall. We like to karaoke while on vacation in Santa Cruz.Unfortunately the karaoke DJ's are terrible...and really rude. The Friday night Karaoke DJ was a rude bartender on Thursday and a rude karaoke DJ on Friday....He would ignore people at the bar...He would sing behind people, especially if they didn't sing the song well. While everyone is cheering on people, he was emotionless. Too bad, the place has potential to be a greater tourist spot than it is.I'd give the Friday night bar staff "5 stars", they are phenomenal especially with the crowd they get. They have $5 Jello shots, which are really good! Honestly really nice customers come in. Lots of fun college students and tourists....We really do have a great time.The unfriendly karaoke DJ dude/bartender.....he needs to go to people manner school. Just rude.Coasters is the only hang out closest to the Boardwalk. Wish they did more, like live bands in the outdoor area or in the bar.Overall I recommend the experience. Gave "3 Stars" because we had to deal with the guy 2 days in a row.Otherwise they'd be "5 Stars"!

Had the Strawberry Daiquiri yesterday, the pina colada today both were delicious. For being a Tuesday and then Wednesday they had a lively friendly crowd. The DJ does a great job keeping the energy up and Wipes down the tables as people leave. Definitely one of our favorite spots.

This place gets pretty packed given it's right in front of the boardwalk. We ordered a mojito and a jello shot; both tasted great. The wait isn't too bad and the service was courteous.

People need to realize this is a bowling alley karaoke bar. With that in mind, it was great. We had good drinks and fun during karaoke.
