Very disappointed! Betty burger had GREEN tomatoes! Could not eat them. The strawberry milk shake looked like half vanilla, half strawberry. Hardly tasted like strawberries! Definitely did not look like the color of the strawberry shake on their website. Also, the chicken TENDERS are supposed to be golden brown, not almost burnt and HARD! They cooked them way to long.
First time trying Betty Burgers and she did us right. After reading other reviews here I decided to try the "Chick-a-Dee?" sandwich with extra sauce. We split and it was great. We also ordered a basket of garlic fries and they were perfect! Crispy and Garlicky! Nice seating, friendly staff. Costs more than McD's but it's not even in the same ballpark so stop embarrassing yourself making price comparisons. Next time I'll try the chile or burger and get the garlic fries again. Maybe I'll just get two baskets of those fries???
What makes these burger so special they think they can charge $13 for it and not give you fries or a drink with it? Not either. You got to buy that separate, it puts you at ~$20 a person. And it's not worth that price. Not bad, just not even really all that big. Would forgive if even a small portion of fries were included or a slightly bigger burger. 2 burgers and shared 1/2&1/2 no drink spent $36 left still hungry. Pictures of burgers are spread out to show ingredients and quality so it looks bigger than what it was. TOURIST TRAP. Draws you into juxtaposed low brow atmosphere to only charge you high brow price!
Chicka dee burger loved the chicken, absolutely perfect, however the whole wheat bun fell apart rather easily, not enough spread on it....chili was delicious, ollaieberry shake was good, they had plenty of patio space too, which is great if you have a dog with you
A sad husk of what it used to before Covid. My spouse and I used to go at least twice a month. Now the burgers aren't as good and they are incredibly expensive. Two burgers (nothing else) nearly $30 (w/tax) AND they aren't good? We tried three times hoping it was just an off day (weekday, weekend, lunch, dinner) and the conclusion remained the same.
Delicious burgers and fries. We were served very quickly. The staff was very helpful and friendly too.

I love this place! The double Dutch is my burger of choice but all the burgers are great! Do yourself a favour and get there anytime you visit Santa Cruz it’s a must! The staff are pretty good too and always friendly. Best burgers in town maybe even California!
Patties comparable to McDonald’s in my opinion. Dry, overcooked and thin. Way overpriced for what you get. In and out burgers are better even though they are cheaper. Milk shakes were good
