Great restaurant! We initially gave it a try because it was one of the latest open places in Santa Cruz, but, after trying it, we come back at any time of day. The food, drinks, and service are always great, and, while it’s a little pricey, you get the quality that you pay for. Always fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented on all fronts. Strongly recommend for someone craving Americana done right.
Only one good restaurant in Santa Cruz with fresh fish options (imagine! Very disappointing town). But this place was a little hidden gem with great food, generous portions, awesome atmosphere and elegant setting, and, we could hear each other talking. There was a sushi place down the road that sounded great but the cafeteria style one room dining was louder than a high school hall before a football game. So when we drifted to this place, it was a wonderful stop after a long day. Oh. And the staff was so pleasant. I highly recommend this place.
Enjoyed cocktails at the bar before dinner. Food was good and would come back. We all had steak dinners. One of our party sent back his dish for not being right. This was dealt with and I appreciated the promptness in turning another plate around.
Great burgers but last couple times the attention to detail has been lacking. Got a take out order and instead of the calamari we ordered we received fried cauliflower. No sauce with it either. My Outlaw burger had no onion rings or Whiskey glaze. Wifes Wedge Salad had processed bacon bits instead of real bacon.

Music was played so sound we could not hear ourselves speak. Had to shout across the table.
The is one of my favorite restaurants in Scotts Valley, it's a little out of the way but that's part of the charm. I really enjoy the peaceful outdoor atmosphere and the indoor has a nice vibe as well. The food has always been great and they make the best mozzarella sticks ?
My go to local restaurant, I eat in, take out, go by myself and with visiting friends and family. Consistently good food and service, one or two times service was a bit slow but the pandemic has been hard on every restaurant and I've been there a lot, so rating stays a 5.
I had my wedding & reception here…thee best decision WE made for our special day!Everyone was happy to have an all in one experience!Pasatiempo Inn provided the area for the ceremony,(which was perfect!) reception (PERFECT!) rooms for all our guests! (PERFECT!!)Everyone loved the location, the weather was beautiful!!The photos came out absolutely beautiful! And we are asked often “where was it?! Amazingly great food and great service every time! We keep coming back again and again. One of our favorites is certainly the pulled pork potato skins and the beet salad… Delicious. We also love the bottomless chips and can’t get enough!!! The burgers are a standard go to!! all of our friends love the burgers too. One word on the ribs… The barbecue sauce homemade and fantastic! …See you next week ????
