Traveled last week to Santa Cruz from Texas, this place was truly amazing. The hostess was also our waitress and the staff made our experience wonderful. Stop by and you will be blown away. Thank u guys!!!??

Avanti is a smaller restaurant with a nice vibe. The service was good, but the food was just ok. We ordered a Caesar salad to split. The dressing could have used some more lemon juice to balance out the flavor. It was much too rich tasting. My wife had the lasagna and again it was somewhat mediocre. I had the GRASS-FED BEEF TENDERLOIN | with garlic and rosemary, potatoes Au gratin, and grilled asparagus. It was done as requested, but I really could not taste the beef. The rosemary sauce was very overpowering. So much so, that I could not even taste the garlic. The overpowering of the rosemary was still evident even after I removed as much of the sauce as I could. It was a disappointing entree, especially for $44. The potatoes looked good, but not to much flavor. The asparagus was phenomenal however. Overall, this was a disappointing experience for us. I do not think we will be making the drive over to the west side again to go there. Too bad "Your Place Farm to Table" restaurant is now closed on the west side, that was one of our favorites.

Such a great and cozy atmosphere. Great service, great bar. The food is good, though too hot when it was served! Took a long time to be able to eat it, and I still burned my tongue!

We have been there for a dinner: the service was slow. The food was good, but quite average food. The desserts were too bad. They tasted weirdly! And the total was more than average.Considering what you pay and what you get, the restaurant gets one star.

I ordered the salmon special, the salmon was excellent, the large side dish of potatoes were tasteless and cold. When i told the server she said it was supposed to be cold and didn't offer an alternative. I went home hungry. The wine choices were very nice and the atmosphere was lovely.

Came here for an early valentine's day best decision! The food and atmosphere ? is wonderful and comfy.

Food is wonderful. I had the squash ravioli in butter sauce with crisp fried of what I remember to be sage. The contrast in textures is marvelous. It was a teeny bit too salty. For most people it probably would have been the correct amount of salt. My partner had the seafood in a red sauce which he really enjoyed. We had the passion fruit mousse for dessert and that was okay but not extraordinary. The cocktails we both had were marvelous. I don't remember what mine was called but it had pomegranate in it and it was absolutely delicious and served with a sugared rim on the cocktail glass. Again the textural component was great. I can recommend this place and you really should get reservations

Such a shadow of its former self. I was served an undercooked frozen shrimp billed as a “prawn” on a bed of some goopy playdough with some scallops that were cooked in burnt butter. Did I mention it was cold? Sad to say I’ll never go back. The salad and the calamari was good though so 2 stars.

I personally have not been here but my cheating wife snd who ever ( Dr. Desouki long time offender has had lunch here and there ... where ever a motel or hotel is close by ... for after lunch delight ... nasty ?

Excellent local restaurant with nicely done contemporary decor. All the dishes were excellent. Flavorful sauces without excessive salt. Full bar. A little spendy.
