OG diner with an awesome vibe and decor, the food is not cheap but comes in huge portions, you will not leave hungry. Country gravy is good, biscuits good, hashbrowns good. Many many different meat choices with your eggs. Every diner has "steak and eggs" but this one goes overboard, there are at least five different kinds of steak to have with your eggs, including both "chicken fried" and "country fried" steaks. Service was excellent.

First and last time experience with this restaurant. My family went here on Easter Sunday to support local businesses but what a horrible services! Our waiter forgot to bring us our drink and we had to ask for it twice. My spouse ordered French Toast and the food was cold when served. The worst part was when the waiter gave us the wrong check that we didn't participate. What a big disappointment.? Never going back again.

I know this place has been around forever and it has good food but, the inside is a bit dirty and outdated. it wasn't clean looking. i want to eat food and not look around me and see dust or dead flies or cracked walls or dirty curtains. i will not eat here again.

Do you like great service, if good food your thing. Do you appreciate a great value. If so, you can’t go wrong here. I remember coming to the Saugus Cafe over 50 years ago. Highly recommend

Service was great, the waiter was very attentive, there was endless coffee! The food was delicious, big protions, one plate could feed two people. Would highly reccomend if you're in the area!!

I love a good straight to the point breakfast, and this cafe knocks it out of the park. The servers are always quick to refill your coffee, and take your order. The food is a great way to start the day. One of the best spots in town.

I have patronized this restaurant off and on for many years and the current staff, the quality of the food served, the competitive pricing all combine to make this restaurant the best experience for casual dining.

Unfortunately this place was disappointing.Service: Our server was careless, she spilled coffee on the table when giving us our coffee then left; got upset when we asked for a side of ham on one of our orders. Even worse she slightly throws the plates at you when serving so much so that for a nearby customer’s food partially ended in his lap (she apologized to him for that).Food: I ordered an omelet and my wife ordered French toast. French toast was dry, omelet was not good, and the home fries had NO flavor. Over 50$ total… def not worth it!The two stars are for the OJ and coffee…

I don't get to the Saugus Cafe often but it's a great place to meet a friend for a meal in the area. This last time I enjoyed the really delicious club sandwich, however there wasn't enough bacon in it but then again is there ever enough bacon? The service was very good as well. If you've never been to the Saugus Cafe it's worth visiting. It's not a very fancy place, it is truly an old diner but one with rich history as it is one of the oldest restaurants in LA county.

Fantastic food for the weekend travelers passing in and out of the Angeles mountain pass. I will definitely be back to this fantastic diner.... Thoroughly enjoyed my experience....!!
