I recently had the pleasure of working with Jill and her Cake Creation Staff. Our art department needed a hero prop fabricated for a commercial film shoot. Jill and her team produced two identical replicas of the birthday cake from the John Huges film 16 Candles. Jill was thoroughly knowledgeable of period-appropriate cake decoration and (despite a really limited reference image), produced two beautiful replicas.Everyone on set kept joking about how delicious the cake looked and many demanded a slice once we wrapped -- little did they know the cakes were frosting-only and had styrofoam cores! - When we discussed the project, Jill immediately encouraged us to go with styrofoam-cores and the resulting "cakes" were much more durable and still looked great after several days of photography and multiple rounds of candle burning.It was wonderful to find a cake creator who could 100% deliver--and fast!Thanks Jill!
