Great service, good food, average prices. Best breakfast diner in SCV so far. Prices are fairly high, like most places, around $15 for pancakes or eggs and $4 for coffee. Portions are large and service is outstanding. Food quality is great, with a different spin on biscuits and gravy [chorizo based] and what appeared to be hand-breaded chicken fried steak [vice frozen patties elsewhere].
Its been a while being in SCV. A friend took me here. Absolutely great customer service and do not even get me started on the huge portions. Will totally be back.
Employees were very polite and attentive, it was clean.. Food took a bit long to arrive but I understand they had a large take out order.. Food was Delicious... My first time here.
Disappointed is the only word I have.We haven't been to Crazy Ottos since before the pandemic and all we have seen with a number of restaurants is an increase in cost and a decrease in service and sometimes food quality. This was no different. We started off ok with the intro and getting drinks. We ordered the 8oz ribeye medium rare and eggs. What we got was a disgrace to a ribeye cut. The meat was flat like a country fried steak and it was shoe leather, cooked well done.We expected the ribeye cut to have been significantly thicker and cooked correctly. Have some respect and pride in that kitchen! It doesn't matter what kind of restaurant it is, a cook or chef should always take pride in the food they serve. What was wild was we made the comment about the steak being overcooked and the servers disappeared. We sat waiting for about 7 minutes before someone showed up for us to see how we were, and we could get the steaks redone. The remade steak was also flat and probably the fattiest pieces they could find (much worse than before), it was just embarrassing. It was cooked to medium this time, and the eggs were the same as before and warmed up, with my mother in law's eggs being mutilated this time, but we were so hungry at this point, it just wasn't worth it to have them try again.The pancakes are always pretty good, even though my wife's wasn't served with syrup. The Belgian waffle was anything but what you would expect to pay 16.50 for. An incredibly small thin square waffle is hardly a correct portion size to claim Belgian.It definitely felt like we were being ignored for most of the meal and when we were done, we were left in restaurant jail waiting to pay. It was a very disappointing experience.This will be our last time back. Want some bang for your buck? Take a few extra minutes drive down Sierra Highway and go to the Halfway House.
My wife and I came here for breakfast and really enjoyed ourselves. The decor is a little goofy, but the waffles are good and that's why you go somewhere like here.Stop by on the weekends because they have a fun tradition they do whenever you hear the train chug by.

Wanted to like this place. I went for the 1st time 6 mos ago and didn't care for the food I ordered. Decided to give it another shot and it sealed the deal. I would not go back. First of all, the booth we sat at had a large switch plate. It was really filthy. There was a good size portion of food but so so quality. The gravy on the chicken fried steak was a huge portion of gelationous goo. I had to scrape a large portion of it off. The "hollandaise" sauce on the eggs benedict was also lumpy and super thick. the biscuits were about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Time for the check. Well, I noticed that the prices did not look right on our two meals. I questioned the waitress and she said the prices went up that day. I said, "so you are going to charge me more than stated on the menu?" She reduced the price but this just did not sit well with me. Charging more than the advertised price. Didn't tell us ahead or have any note on the menu or anything. Overall not satisfied.
The staff was very nice and the food was wonderful..highly reccommend this establishment
