ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! Way over priced, terribly seasoned, and cold. The Al Pastor tacos were bland, the guacamole was also bland, the chips were borderline stale. The whole restaurant matched the parking lot... filthy. Looked like a hoarder was keeping their accounts all within sight of the dining room. The employee answered the phone like I was calling her house and didn't mention the price or how much time it would take for pickup. Never going again.
I put my culinary reputation on this review.1 star is 1 too many. It was the worst place I've ever eaten. It looked like a storage room thru up. Dirty tables, dirty warmers, half eaten place sitting on top of food to be served. I ordered 2 tacos and a drink it cost $14. The taco meat was grey, the tortillas seemed microwaved. The salsa was tasteless. Drink was room temperature . Avoid even if free.
Weird experience. Behind the register is a full-on catering office with papers everywhere. The opposite side of the restaurant is stacked with boxes and miscellaneous stuff, including two large cans of - Alfredo sauce? Chorizo breakfast burrito was a homogeneous blend of stuff, impossible to differentiate anything. One of us had the Chipotle Chicken, basically chicken sautéed in some kind of red sauce. There are other options for lunch.
Never going back. Place is dirty, overpriced, unorganized and the person that gave me my food wasn't wearing gloves when she used her mud mittens to scoop onions into a container, needless to say I didn't eat them
The best chilequilas in the city, great place to go for food while waiting for your laundry in the laundromat next door
Great food. Excellent customer service. Very friendly.
So I've seen this restaurant several times since I moved to River Terrace Apartments, it's right next to the 7-11 I vist daily, I love Mexican food, always a great lunch on a construction job site, so I noticed the restaurant back in May, but due to Covid wasn't sure if they were open, well today the door was open and I went in. Yes it was a little quiet to be expected and yes definitely understandable, it looked like a nice family restaurant doing the best they can with what's going on, so I understand that. What impressed me the most was the polite young female Chef, she noticed after a few minutes I was browsing the menu and politely told me where I could order. I gave her my order and I loved how she immediately took the requested meat that I wanted and started cooking it in the pan in front of me the whole cooking process was right in front of me, loved it!!!! So, I ordered more food, and it was nice to see how it was done, I am no expert, but I do noticed hard work, passion for the trade, and trying to do your best. So 5 stars all around!!!???
Nice local independent Mexican food, convenient to freeway . Restrooms are 4 star and good enough.
My boyfriend and I use to come to this place constantly. Their food was always good, but after months of not ordering we decided to stop by and order some food. When we walked in the whole place looked run down. We weren't Greeted of anything, the place requires a mask but yet the workers aren't wearing any. The kitchen was dirty and what kind of irked me was that they don't wear gloves. When we got our food none of it had any flavor! The only thing that had salt were their chips. It saddens me because their food use to be good.
The Enchiladas here were perfect, I tried them with different meat Chicken, and Chili Verde Pork , and the Shrimp Cocktail was good , Red salsa was spicy but not too hot ? Green Salsa was delicious and creamy , Dinning area was small but not crowded or loud and service was quick and with a smile , my first time here , but not my last
