Food was good but not giving a to-go box for Sambhar made me wonder their cost cutting strategies. I had to ask them for a paper tea cup. With a frown on the face, I was handed that with a aluminum foil. Food was good though. Ordered rava dosa, upma vada, uttapam, ghee dosa. That’s why 3 stars. I liked the food here but will not come again because I am disappointed by their service.
The place is not well decorated. But the food is decent. Staffs were polite.Didn't know when I walk in. This place is self service.Go to the cashier to order your food. Find a seat. Wait till your order is called then you go pick them up.Napkin, water, plastic spoon available.Must clean up before you leave.I ordered their Mega Thali.
Ordered a plate of Medhu vada and another plate of the masala vada to-go from here. Both the vadas were really crispy and very well flavored and seasoned. The sambhar was really tasty and had a really good balance of spice tanginess and slight sweetness. The coconut chutney was also delicious.I have had their Thali before and that is also really tasty. Will definitely recommend that as well.I heard from the staff that they have a live Dosa night on Tuesdays and Thursday nights where you can get an unlimited number of Dosas for 16.99 USD. Looking forward to trying that.

Placed online order to pick up at 12:20. Was not ready. Told to come back "later". Came back 30 minutes later and it's still not done. Server was not wearing a mask. Not a great impression and I haven't even gotten my food yet.Edit : owners responded. Food was tasty which is why I changed it to three stars. But I'm not sure if I would wait for 30 minutes after my pick up time in the restaurant for my food. And they really should be wearing masks.
We had the veg thali, it was actually very sufficient and tasty. Specifically the kesari and sambar were good. Overall the food was pretty good for the price.
Very limited quantity in Thali and not great in taste either. Very expensive!Only 1 piece of paneer. Maybe I am missing something, but would not recommend the place/ Thali atleast.
Star Udupi Cafe is consistently an excellent place to eat- service is always quick and friendly, and it is clear that the food has been prepared with careful thought. The dosas are always well made and taste delicious- I recommend in particular the Star Gongura dosa and the cilantro dosa.Overall, highly recommended for a quick, delicious and high quality meal.
Very poor hygiene. Got stomach upset for me and my friend after eating food from here. Never recommend. Very bad service. Very less food for the price.
Dosa is good. We’ve got over-burnt puri.I complained the same and the manager was like “it’s ok”. Didn’t even respond or tried to address my issue. I left the poori and came out of restaurant.I would actually give 3 star to dosa. But don’t expect good service. Really disappointed.
