Overpriced and terrible service. We ordered a beef brisket and a pork belly, which were around $40 each. There was nothing really special about them so we were expecting good service. The waiter began to grill the beef for us and he also placed the tongs on the far side of the table, so we assumed that he would be handling it. However, after placing the beef on the griller he just went away. At some point we had to take over otherwise the it would have been overcooked. While we were eating the beef, the waiter came and placed the pork on the griller without even asking us if we wanted it yet. This time the same thing happened, he came a couple times and then just disappeared. We were busy chatting and by the time we realized, the meat was already severely overcooked (he hasn’t even flipped it yet). However, he acted like nothing was wrong and “finished” the grilling for us. I have eaten at many other Korean barbecues and this is the worst pork belly I’ve ever had, not to mention how unhealthy it is to eat such overcooked food.I mean, we’re completely ok with cooking the food ourselves, but at least be consistent and tell us what we should do, and not just expect us to finish the process. We also ordered a tofu soup and asked for it to be “less spicy”, but then it became not spicy at all. The waiter never checked with us how everything is going. To be fair, the tofu soup was still quite delicious and the environment was new and clean. For this price you would be able to enjoy an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ somewhere else. I seldom write reviews as my tolerance for bad food and service is quite high, but I just can’t withstand such a waste of my hard-earned money.
Only Korean restaurant that is open til 12am in Santa Clara, staffs were somewhat friendly, atmosphere is clean and nice, great music, price is on the higher side, service was just okay, the side dishes were large portion compared to other restaurants. Only complaint, it took over 30 minutes for the cold noodles, maybe they forgot about it, by the time they brought the noodle out, I was almost done with my Kimchi soup and rice. For a BBQ place I would think they would put some large chunks of pork in the soup but they were very thin and small. But I was amazed by the look and the taste, it was very delicious! One of the best kimchi and kimchi soup I had in a long time. The cold noodle came late but it was tasty and cool! I didn’t have time to try the BBQ this time but I will definitely come back for it! Overall very satisfying!
Fantastic service, the servers were really helpful and gave us a great experience . For some reason they kept refilling our side dishes every 5 min. I mean we werent complaining lol. The prices are a lil high but i think its to offset the amount of side dishes, the drinks were fun and tasted great as well!Lots of parking as its a plaza so no issue there10/10 would come back again
My favorite new Korean BBQ. Before this I used to go to Gen, Jang Su Jang, Chungdam which are ok. The only other comparable high end place is 10 Butchers. What I really like is the staff who are fluent in English and very helpful with asking questions and what to cook. I like the smaller focused menu. All items are high quality meat. The place is more expensive if you want to order many items but I usually order just one meat so it is perfect for me. The place has much lesser smoke compared to other places which used to make me sick. I also like how well lit the restaurant is compared to other places. The staff helped me try my first Soju which was great. A lot like fruit juice. Will keep coming back.
Great food but if you and your friends want just a casual entry level kbbq experience there are other places. The quality of meat is definitely better, but know that you are mostly paying for the service. If you are going and want that extra special service and atmosphere, this is the place to go.
We love this place. The service is great, nice environment, bright and spacious. We ordered pork belly and the quality is good (not like other korean bbq places that serves frozen meat). the soft tofu soup is very tasty. We’ll definitely come again
I love my kbbq and this restaurant, while new, really went above my expectations. High quality meats, big servings. We ordered the 5 person combo + spicy rice cakes for 6 folks and we couldn't finish.
This is my first time eating at a Korean BBQ and it was Delicious the service was really good and Friendly I would recommend this place anytime
Courteous staff, delicious food. We've been there twice, and enjoyed both times. The second visit, we ordered fried dumplings (which also came with deep fried glass noodles wrapped in seaweed), kimchi fried rice, and the Spicy Chicken Galbi. All food was delicious, and it is now one of our regular late night spots.
Went last night for the first time. Service is friendly, the pork kalbi is good. Gopchang was a little off for my taste.
