Tried the Vegetarian option. The tofu was marinated and tender and carried the flavor very well. The ginger sauce was inspired. Steamed veggies and the veggie broth left something to be desired. The broth cooled off too quickly and tasted too thin.Overall, tasty enough that I’d come back.
The chicken tastes good with the sauce. Both chicken breast and chicken thigh are good. There wasn't that much vegetables though.
Love this type of chicken rice. Sauce is delicious. Great place to sit and people watch the hungry folks in line for ramen next door. ?
Great place, great food.. like the food taste and freshness. Place have great ambience despite of busy mall corridors.
Rooster & Rice is a case study proving that simple, when done well, can still provide a five-star dining experience. Rooster & Rice's menu consists of 4 variations on Khao Mun Gai, which is Thai chicken rice (which is fairly similar to Hainan chicken rice if you've ever had that).I got The Original which comes with both chicken breast and thigh meat over a bed of chicken rice and a side of cucumbers. The chicken was tender with a good bite. But I have to say my favorite part of the dish was the rice - it's so savory and flavorful that every mouthful is a treat.Rooster & Rice is located on the second floor right next to Ramen Nagi. If you're not paying close attention it's easy to miss their storefront as there's always a line of people waiting for Ramen Nagi. But for those with keens eyes and and a taste for chicken rice, if you choose to dine at Rooster & Rice, then you'll definitely find your craving satisfied.
We order from her once a month. Usually the kids are plastic. But today they were paper based. And guess where the two bowls of soup ended up? All over my shoes bc the tops pretty much disintegrated and soup spilled out everywhere. Please change your takeout packaging to make more sense!
I hate chicken breast but I love eating chicken breast from this place. Not dry, rice is absolutely delicious. Sauce pairs really well with everything. It blows my mind to see the huge line outside for ramen nagi because everyone is missing a gem here. Can't recommend this place enough, it's hard to find something that's not fried, heavy, or greasy in a mall but this is it. Also huge plus points for the compostable packaging.
Chicken rice, Thai version ?
Had #1. It's not bad.
Prices are good. Flavor not too strong. Some people might prefer stronger flavors but for me this is good. Less sodium. Not too oily. Ingredients seem ok
