The Vegan curry ramen was pretty good and filling. Also ordered the eggplant Tempura which was a nice vegetarian appetizer.Good choice of vegetarian options and the taste was good and the service was nice. There was just 5 minutes wait time and we were seated quickly. Will recommend this place and I'll visit again!
Unfortunately, the food did not match up to the service. We had edamame, which was fine and shishito peppers, which were too oily. Orenchi Ramen lacked flavor. I had the Orenchi dipping ramen. Too fishy, kind of oily. I am sure there are better Ramen shops nearby.
Post COVID-19, their menu has changed. Ordered a special and 2 chicken ramen bowls.Chicken - meat was tender, however the broth was kind of tasteless.Pork - this was the special. It was good.Quantity wise, one bowl is enough for a person.
The ramen is good. You get a whole egg (instead of the half egg in some places). But I think the egg is kind of too soft. Of course, it’s a personal preference. But I just don’t like super soft egg. Most of places are not that soft.Service is good too. But when I got the check, it shown a 15% service fee was on the bill without any words from the waitress. It’s totally understandable, but it would be nice if I got informed so I would not possibly pay double tips.During pandemic time, some restaurants asked customers to support them by paying service fee so they explicitly told us so we would leave tips on top of that. But that seems not the case today since I did not receive any such words from them.
I normally won’t give a rating this low. The food was fine. But service fee???? Seriously? And made it as “Tax”? It is a scam. I am ok if it’s not shown as “Tax”. I don’t mind tipping but this time, I added another 15% tip, which means I tipped twice, 30%? One my friend Venmo-ed me his share, then I realize and checked the receipt of the email. This is so and disappointed.
We’ve ordered the Orenchi Ramen and squid. The calamari is good, noodles is chewy but the soup is salty.
this place is nice but keep in mind you might be waiting in line for a while before getting to eat.....other than that, the ramen here is really good!!! i’d recommend trying this place!
My 9 year old daughter loves the ramen at Orenchi. We have to stop by when we are in NorCal. I’m glad they started taking reservations.
I have to say that I am very disappointed! I been to Orenchi Ramen in Redwood city couple times before covid and I love the ramen there. So my expectations were pretty high before Coming to this place. I ordered Orenchi ramen and Donate Spicy Miso Ramen. The Orenchi ramen was super bland and plain, not rich at all. The broth tasted like hot water. The meat was juicy but did not have any taste. For two people with 15% tip, each paid $24, pretty higher than Ramen Nagi (each $20) but the flavor and taste of Ramen Nagi were much better. I dont think I would come back to this place again.
So we wanted to try few dishes, it was our first time here. We had Fried calamari, some fried peppers dipped in soy sauce. Then we had our main dishes, I had steam rice with chicken and egg. Everything was great. We got our food in a timely manner even tho it was super busy and our waitress was super kind in explaining the different foods …Thanks Guys
