Food is average. Pita is good but the skewers were not seasoned well.We didn’t make reservation so we were arranged to seat in the bar. But there were a lot of available tables whole night.
I ate lunch with several people. Very professional waiters/waitresses. The chicken plate was juicy and everyone else loved their dishes.
Mediocre experience at Opa the other day.First of all, parking here is nuts. Be prepared to meet a bit of frustration dealing with antsy parkers.Secondly, the staff provided our main order in a takeout bag shortly after we finished our appetizers. I guess they were hoping we'd leave then? Because we certainly felt invisible for the rest of our dinner.During our dinner we were never really refreshed with water, we were ignored when we tried to call the waiter by a larger party, and ultimately, we were served the dishes that were wrongly placed in take out boxes lazily as they plopped it back onto plates.I came to celebrate my birthday early but it was just not the vibe with the middling service. We waited awhile to get our check or be noticed by staff until my sister just went up to the counter to take care of the bill. The food was okay. The peach cocktail was probably the only highlight of my meal. The lemon based soup was not good at all when it got cold and was a strange combo of creamy and tart that made me think of sour milk. The meat loaf I had was a bit better than average, as well as the falafel. The beef skewer my sister had was also tasty. Ultimately though it felt lacking for the amount of money we paid, like we could easily get these flavors at more inexpensive and less snobby Greek/Mediterranean restaurants.Middling experience. Will not return. This place is definitely not worth it given the parking and unfocused customer service.
Went here for a brunch. The food and service were really good. I found a ladybug in my salad and the chef offered to give us and appetizer for free. Most of the food was really good but I didn't like the French toast. It was too dry and not eggy enough - tasted liked simple toast. We mostly ordered sharable appetizers. I'd definitely want to go back to try some of the entrees.
I do not understand some of the poor reviews of this restaurant. We had a lovely experience last evening. Granted we went at 5 PM on a Sunday night and there were only 2 other tables occupied...so it was not at all noisy. Our server, David, was attentive and timely. I asked to sample the two Greek white wines and that was accommodated quickly. I chose the Atlantis white that was very nice @ $11 a glass. We ordered the frito misto that had a nice coating and not fried to death. It consisted of squid rings and tentacles, shrimp, green beans (that were very tasty! and I don't usually enjoy green beans) and white onions, plus 2 sauces. We then ordered the "Garden of Eden" flat bread with fresh figs, proscuito, arugula, balsamic oil, and basil ...YUM! We took half of it home. My husband ordered the moussaka and liked it very much, but could only consume 3/4 of it. I had the seafood souvlaki with Opa fries covered with feta cheese. I could only eat one (of 2) skewers of the seafood (shrimp and scallops - NOT over-cooked). My husband had a delicious Concannon Cab for $9 a glass. We were too full for dessert. Give this place a try at a quiet time!
When we got seated, out table had puddles of water on it. I ordered the lamb skewers and they were so hard, I couldn’t bite through. Several dishes and drinks were sold out. Our server was friendly but overworked. Not coming back, too expensive for what was delivered.
Good food, good service and good ambiance. Enjoyed the casual atmosphere.
Reservation was for 8:45 and when we arrived the restaurant would not seat us for they were closing. Why did they accept a reservation in the first place for it made it very difficult to find another place to eat
Service was slow. Not crowded and was 40 min till the overcooked food arrived. If rest want us back they need to do a better job. I can cook at home for a third of the cost and perfectly cooked food.
Our hostess refused to seat us at a booth because we were a twosome. About 20 minutes later she proceeded to seat a couple at the booth.
