It’s okay to share the combination but can be too oily for just one or two people. Cold soy bean noodle is too light but might be good for summer.
One of the best kimchi jiggae I've had in the bay area! Love the way the pack up everything so it's still proof. You know it's good when all the elder Koreans go there to eat for lunch on a weekday!
Good place. Compared to other Korean restaurants this one for sure has a easily sensible above average environment and service. But understandablely price is also higher. Totally depends on the goal.
Just try something new and different. It's too hard for some elderly customers' teeth. The BBQ is ok and tastes no different than other Korean restaurants.
Recommended by my Korean friend, so decided to give it a shot. It was sooo good! A very family style authentic Korean restaurant, their stews and soups are so satisfying, easily to warm you up on a winter day. They also service rice beer in the authentic way, which is to drink it in a bowl. We loved it!
One customer next my table asked waitress to replace his order for some reason and they had to bring new food.It was same entry as mine. After that waitress brought my order but 70% of amount and contents. I really suspect they brought the food rejected by customer at next table.I will never will ho there again.
Came here on a Saturday at 6pm for a large group dinner of 10. I did make a reservation earlier in the week but they didn’t seem to have my reservation, it may had been lost in translation. Thankfully, there weren’t a lot of people so we were able to get a semi private room for our large party. We got quite a few items -Medium Intestine Combo (large intestines, small intestines, abomasum)Medium Galbi-jjim (braised short ribs)Seafood Pancakes x 2Spicy Tteok-bokkiSpicy Blood Sausage SoupGalbi-Tang (short rib soup)My favorite dishes of the meal wereGalbi-jjim - the meat was so tender and just fall off the bone, love the sweetness of the dish!Seafood Pancakes - though pretty standard but they do a great job on the balancing the ingredients and the pancakes had the right amount of crispiness!Spicy Teton-bokki- unfortunately didn’t get to take a photo as it was the group’s favorite. It was perfect for me but definitely on the spicier sideGalbi-Tang - this dish was ok, but on the saltier side. Hard to compare this to my other favorite place in South Bay. iykyk! As for the rest, they were kind of a miss for me.Intestine combo - though intestine dishes tend to be quite fatty, I find this one especially overwhelming, specifically the large intestines.Spicy blood sausage soup - this dish wasn’t spicy but it had a quite distinctive herby taste and the soup had grainy texture. I also didn’t really enjoy the blood sausage.Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to people who love grilled intestines!
As a blood sausage enthusiast, I think this place is underrated. It's awesome!1. The service is great. It's not about attentive service that they keep asking you if everything is okay and filling up your water glass but more like they really seem to care about the customer. This is very subjective but I feel that way.2. They have tojong sundae which is different from the typical glass noodle sundae that was invented to use left over glass noodle after Korean War.3. The price is reasonable. I don't understand why some folks think it's expensive. The broth feels heavier with deulkkae (Korean perilla) than clear broth from Jang Tu Sundae. I can't tell which one is better but it's a matter of your taste.
Food is extremely expensive, yet the portion is small and taste is okay. Wouldn't really recommend.
server came to take order after 20 mins. Waited for another 30 mins to get my noodle soup and the noodles are not even boiled. Really disappointing, won't go again.
