After being away for a year of fulltime RV travel, this was the first restaurant we went to in the Bay Area (also because they were open on Memorial Day). We made an easy online reservation day of for 9pm. Got seated right away and went to town on the menu. The 6-fish sashimi was super fresh, two orders of Uni sashimi (probably could’ve went with one since it was $35ea!!), ami ebi, steamed miso cod, udon with tempura, hamachi carpaccio - everything was so delish! Leichi never disappoints. Indoor dining seems completely remodeled as the last time we ate here was outdoors during Covid.

We love this place and keep coming back. Every time we go, we end up ordering 8-10 dishes plus sake and beer but it’s so tasty. All the menu is great and authentic. Highly recommend

Japanese tapas. The dishes are mainly fish. The taste is on the sweet and salty side. The fish is fresh and tender. Please note that it is tapas, the portion is small. You might need to order more dishes. I will say average 2-3 dishes per person is a good.Service is decent. The 4 of us is about 250, that is about 10-12 dishes I think. No alcohol for us. So you are looking at average 50-60 per person.

Loved our omakase meal! Wished there was more fish but overall was amazing and so unexpected — the variety was incredible

Always nice and small neighborhood cozy restaurant.

Authentic Izakaya style restaurant, pretty much tasted everything on the menu, all of them are good. Specifically recommend smoking duck and grilled beef tongue

Great place for some Japanese food! We got some fried oysters, agedashi tofu, beef tongue, udon, and everything was tasty.

Really good experience. Servers are friendly and food is fresh and good. The tempura and chicken karage and beef tongue is great.

We ordered cold udon, fried oysters, bacon and potato salad, and pork katsu don. Overall, they tasted pretty good even for takeout. The pork katsu was one of the best I’ve had in the area. However, they put too much sauce in the katsu don that the rice was nothing but salty. Also, the cold udon was a little pricey, in my opinion. We would probably come back again for dine in.

Not very large, with some outdoor seating. Ordered various tapas styled dishes and they were all delicious. Tasted the freshness of the ingredients and great flavors. Service was good too! Prices are a bit on the high end
