Food was alright. Service was good. But I give it 1 star because they overcharged us. $50 for two plates when on the menu our orders were each $17. We did have to pay for water bottles (since they don’t serve complimentary water cups). But that still doesn’t add up. They charged us for service fee of $5 when there’s only TWO people. I understand if there was a group of 5 or more but seriously, two people? Not once did they tell us that they’d charge us more. Don’t recommend this place, if you do go make sure you check what you paid for because you’ll get a charge bigger than you’d expect. When I saw the food, the presentation was not it and I hoped they had different hot sauce. Definitely not going back here. I really wished I got my money back and only paid for what was said on the menu.
Been here 25+ times and have loved all the food so far. The menu is undeniably authentic: owner/manager is from Mexico and most of the customers are native Spanish speakers. My fave is super nachos.
Don't go here!! The food here isn't bad but I'm EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the pricing. These people offer you things like chips and salsa and you think it's free like the other restaurants and it's not. The drinks are $6 and they charge for literally every little thing, including a service fee of 10%!!!For the food quality that pricing is NOT okay. No integrity at this place for not being transparent with the prices. If you want to feed a family of four expect to pay at least $100, with buying the cheapest things on the menu too. Extremely disappointed. Will not be coming here again. Trying to figure out what they charged us for was insane to the point where we had to go back and ask for a receipt. More transparency is needed.I almost never make reviews, even for bad places but this place was just too ridiculous to even let go. Oh and don't listen to the good reviews, the food has potential to taste good but they WILL overcharge you for everything so it's really just not worth it. You can also tell that they pay people to make good reviews for them because this place is struggling. Inauthentic on every level. Jamaica tasted like water too.
Giving this place 1 star only because the lady at the counter was pleasant and the chips were warm. Other than that, there is no way I will ever pay nearly $70 here. Each shrimp tostada was $9.25 , shrimp portion was nice but it really lacked flavor. I had to ask for extra lime and add a pleather of salsas. Chips and salsa were not compliment*-ary (which is fine, just wish we would have been aware of that). The chile verde plate lacked flavor and the portion was very little for $13. The asada burrito was ok, I have had way better. The 16 oz agua fresca was $5.75 and *-*Overall, the food lacked flavor. I had better expectations based on some reviews on here. I am truly disappointed. My mother and I had a late lunch here and were truly dissatisfied not to mentioned surprised at their $9 "automatic gratuity" they tacked on without mention.I had to go back in to ask for a receipt because they did not provide one right away- beware and check your receipts.I truly feel $70 -for two could have been better spent elsewhere.++
The food is ok, service was nice but slow, 1 star for the parking and the cones which they decided to use to block anyone from parking in 4 spots next to their restaurant. Will not return.
It had been years since I had been here, but randomly decided to stop by last week. Food still is tasty! Server was friendly. Thankfully we went when it wasn't too busy as parking is hell. Had the small shrimp cocktail that was tasty with just the right amount of spice for flavor but not to overpower the flavor. Also had the Queso - wanted the mushroom but they were out so they did one with onion and peppers for me... Yum!!!
Extremely dissatisfied…this business is starving for money and charge you for EVERYTHING without telling you upfront! $50.00 down the drain! Only got a carne asada burrito and they gave super watered down green salsa, essentially no flavor and the red salsa wasn’t great either. Food was very plain and my husband asked what came with the torta and she said potatoes or beans and rice, not once did she say those would be charged as sides instead of it coming with the torta as other Mexican restaurants do. Neither did she say the Chips and Salsa would be a separate charge. Then on top of that, they charge an automatic gratuity fee of $7.06!! Ya right! 100% NOT WORTH IT!
Have been going here for years. Love their home style food. The owner is very friendly and makes delicious food
I got beef super burrito. It was tasty but the beef was chewy. I will try chicken next time.
Food was ok, we ordered the super tacos they looked amazing but the taco meat had this nerve on mostly all our tacos:/
