13 entrees fill this focused menu. We had the Galbi Jjim (sweet beef ribs), bibim naeng myun (spicy cold buckwheat noodles) and the mul naeng myun (non-spicy noodles). The price tag is high for the Galbi, but it was the perfect texture(not tough but also not overcooked) and on the sweet side. It was flavorful and the sauce is good over rice. And with 3 people, we still couldn't finish it all. You'll get your food pretty quick. There are only 3 sides (banchan)but they were good (kimchi, radish and cucumber). The guys next to us ordered the tendon but I don't think they liked it. I think you have to be pretty familiar to Korean food to appreciate the quality and effort. Everyone in the restaurant was Asian. I was happy there wasn't a wait. I'd go again for sure.

Good food, good service compared to some other rude Korean restaurants. 3 stars because they recently raised their prices, a little bid too much. Naeng Myun is now $20. Highest I ever seen in this area.

I go to Kunjip when I feel homesick. Hard to find good white soup around here and Kunjip instantly makes me feel at home. Ladies working here are so nice and friendly ♥️

Love yummy and healthy authentic Korean food, definitely a treat to come all the way from LA to indulge this great food, better than from LA. ^&^..

Tasty galbi tang and banchan. Maeun galbi jjim was pricey and hugely disappointing. Meat was tough and just okay tasting. Stick with the soups.

We had the spicy short ribs. A bit expensive, but good and plenty for two. Meat quality was very good. I like the sauce but my son who is into Korean food though it was a bit too heavy in taste.

Stews and soups were great for a cold day. The unseasoned soups were great because you can add salt and pepper to taste and the salt really brings the flavor out. The Galbi stew was really nice with rice, a little pricey though, but worth it when split with a group. Was a bit of a wait for lunch but we came in at the tail end. They sanitize the whole restaurant every day it seems, so can feel safe indoors (they also have a few outdoor seats with portable heat torches to keep you warm). Would come back on a cold day for more!

This is one of my favorite spots to get Galbi Tang. No additional seasoning needed besides black pepper. It is good as is. And their dipping sauce with the jalapeños is so good with the meat. Just be aware of the menu of other items that tells you need to add seasoning yourself such as salt.Everytime it's cold or raining, this galbi tang always hits the spot. I've tried to make dish at home but it doesn't even compare to the galbi tang here. All of their bonchan are delicious! Their pickled radish is my favorite one to eat because it's so crunchy and tasty.Parking can be a bit hard during the busy times like the weekend. Somehow we've gotten lucky over the years in being able to find a spot.

SF Chronicle:Most come to Kunjip for just one thing: wholesome and rich bone broth soups. One of the great things about Santa Clara’s density of Korean restaurants is that specialty restaurants like Kunjip are able to thrive. Its menu centerpiece is seolleongtang ($15), a fortifying noodle soup featuring a milky broth made by boiling ox bones for hours. Served unseasoned, the soup is meant to be flavored to your liking with salt, pepper and chopped scallions. (Get the galbitang if you want something that already comes punched up.) Also try the version with beef tendons ($19), boiled until the pieces become super-soft, but still toothy. The line for Kunjip’s indoor and outdoor tables tends to be long at peak times, so budget in some extra time for dinner.

Really great Korean restaurant. You can gauge serving size by price. $10-15 items are for 1 people and $30-40 items are for 2-3 people.
