Fast, Consistent, and with a killer orange sauce, Iguana's serves up your typical taqueria fare of burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and adjacent items. While their claim to fame is being the OG place for competitive-eater-sized triple long burritos, the rest of the menu of normal-sized food is just as good. You can't exactly run a business off of food that 99.9% of people can't finish in 1 sitting. The thing that keeps me coming back though is the sauce. The south bay is home to plenty of decent Mexican food, and it seems like the only region in the world to really embrace the 'orange sauce' idea. Everyone's got their own take on the hyper regional condiment, and i quite like the roasted chile approach Iguana's took making theirs.
The burrito was supposed to come with guacamole and sour cream, but it barely contained either. otherwise it's a solid burrito place with cool staff and reasonable prices, plus the burrito came out in like 5 minutes. but if they keep skimping out on ingredients I'd probably never come back
Nachos were outstanding with Carne Asada!! Fast service and food was great! If we are ever back in town, we will be stopping.
Huge burritos. They're really good. We tried the Super Iguana, Super Burrito and Best Burrito. The Super Iguana was really 12 inches and very flavorful. Definitely worth it!
They messed up our order and when we told the associate he denied it and argued that he personally made the order correctly even though I was holding the proof that he didn’t right in my hands.
DO NOT RECOMMEND.Any taqueria will have tastier food, bigger burritos and better prices. All their prices are $3-4 above the price listed on their Menu.Thought they have a decent burrito since their name references burritos, completely false assumption.Rice is mushy, beans are too firm, meat is terrible.
Above average price for an average burrito. Inflation? supply chain issues? I don't know. But I do know that I'll be trying other places to satisfy my Mexican food cravings.
Meat was good.....we got carne and pastor.Tortillas were pretty good.Salsa was pre packaged I prefer fresh
Customer service is absolutely horrible. The guy taking your order could care less about doing his job. He doesn’t listen to what you’re ordering and so ends up printing the wrong order and when you correct them they give you attitude and still get it wrong the second and third time around! Their burritos and nachos are okay but taco are bad, they have a bitter taste.
I went to college at San Jose State years ago, and I go out of my way when in the bay area to get an Iguanas burrito. Al pastor is a must, it never disappoints even after all these years. Just wish they'd open one closer to Sacramento!!
