This was my first ramen experience. We were expecting a lot but were disappointed; it did not blow my mind off at all. We went here for dinner on a week day. They do recommend reservations but we were able to get a table. Our order consisted of Tonkotsu ramen and Shoyu ramen both with thick noodles. We chose shrimp (extra charge), garlic and house spice sauce (both free) as toppings. We also ordered Cripy chicken on the side. The free toppings were served separately in small plastic cups instead of preparing our order as requested with these ingredients. The ramen was not served hot. My wife's chicken broth had canned flavor while the pork broth was ok. Noodles and the shrimp topping were good. The crispy chicken was good. The bill did not do justice to the food served.Ambience: very casual. They've got metal stools which aren't too comfortable. Also do not sit against the wall if you're dining around sunset. the light is directly in your eyes and makes it very uncomfortable.Process: scan the menu on phone to order.Quantity: GoodParking: AmpleTimes visited: 1
This place, although a little pricey, served delicious ramen. The staff was attentive and the food came out very quick. If you have a reservation, make sure your entire party is there otherwise won't seat you.
This was our first time at Hiro Nori and we both got the Vegan Ramen with thick noodles - it was delicious! Make sure to ask for the spicy sauce on the side because that definitely added a great kick. The portion was great for the price and the service was really quick - we also loved the infused water! Although we went at 4pm on a Monday, there were still quite a lot of people so be sure to make a reservation just in case. Definitely recommend!
First time at this location and it was as good as the Irvine CA location. I had the tonkatsu ramen, pork buns and mochi icecream. Very good, the crispy chicken looked fantastic too.
Great service and the ramen is delicious
Best ramen around
A small, local eatery with some of the best ramen around. The broth itself is amazing, but their noodles and pork belly help make their signature ramen absolutely delicious. A very popular restaurant, we waited about 15 mins for a table to open up but it was well worth it. The pork buns were a nice twist on a classic dish, and the bun was the softest I've ever eaten. The waiter and waitress were on top of their duties and made sure the entire restaurant was well taken care of.
So as I understand this a new restaurant a branch of San Diego restaurant. As a first time customers, we were really impressed with their food. Excellent quality and nice service considering a new restaurant just opened up. The only downer for we’re the 16% service charge forced by the state of California on customers. I don’t think this is right to tax people just like that. I have the picture of the menu explaining the 16% tax. I don’t know about other people this kind of taxation on food services makes us not to eat in the restaurant. We are not cheap. But As what it is we pay way more taxes to the state.
Totally love their ramen! To my mind it’s best one in San Jose. We accidentally found this place when had to eat before a movie at a nearby cinema theater. Yelp advised to reserve a table 30 min before, so we did. The place appeared to be very spacious and modern. The service was really smart and on time. We ordered Tonkotsu ramen with original noodles and Vegetarian ramen. Both were very tasty! The broth was rich, the pork and egg cooked to perfection. And and all ingredients were combined really great. So my resume for this place: it worth to drive there for 30 minutes! Their ramen might be one of the best in the whole Bay Area.
Best ramen EVER ❤️ The tonkotsu is my all time favorite hands down!
