Was visiting SB and this place showed up everywhere so good job at marketing. Ordered two drinks and cocktails are very bland, citrus and watered alcohol. Bartender was unfriendly probably wanted to chat only with locals. Only good part was music. There are better options in SB.
An unexpected but delightful find! Definitely will return the next time I'm in town :)Stopped by late on July 4th after unexpectedly stopping in SB for the night, and wanted a quick drink before bed. The Good Lion is right in the heart of downtown, so an easy walk from a lot of nearby Airbnbs/hotels/motels/attractions, and the interior decor + menu made the stop all the more noteworthy. The cocktail I ordered, the Monkey Fizzness, was the perfect amount of sweet with all of the elements poured into this tall glass, and was excellent to follow up with some of the site's nonalcoholic homemade sodas.Highly recommend this as a stop for your evening in town.
Every drink is just fantastic
Fantastic cocktails but not great ambience outside and the waitress wasn't super helpful in working with us to craft our own cocktail. Perhaps we would have had better luck inside, and what we did order off the pre-made menu was delicious.
Great staff and location on State Street. They make a ton of cocktail ingredients in house. It was the best Negroni I've ever had!
Craft cocktails, friendly staff, great themed space and plenty of outdoor seating in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara right next to the iconic Granada Theatre.
Mellow spot for very well made cocktails
The Good Lion is the cocktail bar in Santa Barbara. While the parent hospitality company had a few bars in the area, this by far the one to set the standard. They have an extensive classic cocktail menu, which you should not skip over. For my tastes I find this place best at happy hour, when there is a small crowd, but the bar is not overwhelmed. The bartenders are super knowledgeable, so if you don't know what to order, ask!

Awesome cocktail list, but these bartenders can make anything - they also have great mocktails. Really fun spot.
