I love south coast deli and use the storefront on chapala at least twice a week. This is my second and last time using the Carrillo storefront. Not only is there no point to placing an online order, as they have you wait in the normal ordering line as you stare at your sandwich getting cold on the counter, but when you ask the man who is bringing out to go orders to grab your order that is directly in front of you, he is very rude and dismissive. It seems so obvious to have a line specifically for online orders, yet they only have this for door dash orders. It is a very poorly run storefront and I will now be driving the extra few blocks to continue to use the chapala storefront. Corporate definitely needs to tend to the mismanagement here.
Great sandwiches and salads with a really big menu.
The food at the Deli is consistently good and the menu is diverse. I prefer to call ahead for take out. The Deli is conveniently located in the center of town.
Wide array of your typical Deli offerings. Great sandwiches, awesome salads and much much more. There's a reason it's been Voted SB's best numerous times.
I gotta say you gotta try the chicken pesto sammie? at South Coast Deli it's super deelish? Follow your tastebuds!!! I highly recommended this deli. hands down
Got roasted beef sandwich and it was so delicious that I couldn’t believe it! Recommend!!!
Omg amazing sammichs. Dar is my current favorite pastrami, Cole slaw and sauce. Also I do not drink soda but with access card you get free soda and their brand is addicting.I’ve had to change my review after several issues with this place.
Just made a BLT in the Suburban.. ice went up 50 cent.. so did GMO pesticide-fertilizer lettuce.. caged-up piggy.. and the nightshade tomato
Was doing the LA-SF PCH journey back in 2019 when we stopped at Santa Barbara for some sightseeing. Being about lunch time we found this place through the map and thought of giving it a go. First of all the person at the counter realized we were tourists and instantly asked us if we needed help with ordering. After going back and forth with the menu we order 3 chicken subs/sandwiches. Sadly I do not remember the exact items we ordered but it was all chicken sandwiches/subs. Not only was it freshly made but even now nearly 2 years later we still remember the flavors.Despite being 8000 miles away from this place we still wish we could come and have the sandwich/sub. More than the sightseeing those sandwiches/subs are what we remember from Santa Barbara! Do you people do international delivery by any chance since we'd love to have it again!
Tough to choose from a great list of sandwiches, Italian hoagie was good (as an East coaster)
