This place was a strange find. Kind of run down, but the staff and the seafood were spot on great. Went toward closing but it did not matter, wanted for nothing.
Went here with the travel group after getting off the Trolley. It was also my sis birthday and she wanted seafood. I had the coconut shrimp topped with huge onion rings and coleslaw. Iced tea lemonade was the best. My sister got a mix with oysters, shrimp, and onion rings. Also the garlic bread was the best I ever had. Thank you to the couple who sat next to me and let me ask ask questions and take a pic of what thru ordered. 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for the waiter Sean also.
Service: great, nice waitersWait time: had to wait 30-40 minutes because we wanted to dine in and seated at a booth. You can order on the side and just eat on the pier if you don’t want to dineFood: Clam chowder was good but not memorable. It was my first time trying cioppino and I didn’t like the watered down red tomato sauce taste. I was imagining it to be more flavorful, despite this, the amount of seafood in it was generous. The bread bowl was probably the best part and that’s not saying much. We also got 3 of their pasta(can’t recall which ones) and they had an odd fishy taste.Presentation: all the food had beautiful presentationCleanliness: Everything seemed clean. If anything, they should sanitize their menus real quick between party uses (they’re readily available on the table)Overall, it seems the food we got here was a miss. Bring a sweater and hair clip/tie if you plan to dine outside, breezy/chilly. Easy parking
Excellent lobster roll and shrimp tacos - fresh, delicious & v generous portions. Would love to return to try their signature crab dishes which looked as equally amazing !
We got the lobster tacos and they were a slightly overcooked but still edible. The restaurant is on the wharf so it is pure wooden planks to the restaurant so you have to watch your step. There is parking close by...we went Wednesday and the parking was great. There is more outdoor than indoor seating. For a family of 3 and sitting outside we put our name on the list and got seated in about 15 min on a Wednesday. It was definitely a good experience but would try another seafood place next time.
We wanted a seafood restaurant that would be pet friendly since we had traveled to Santa Barbara with our toy poodle. There were three seating options: inside dining, which we could not do with our pet; outside seating with waitstaff; and our option, which was to place an order at the pickup window and sit at benches on the pier. The service was great, the food excellent and the view to die for! We will visit again.
I so really wanted to like this place but It was a hit and miss. The seating is only outside and there at our a limited number of heaters, which do not work well. While the clam chowder is delicious and has an abundance of clams, there are only a few spoonfuls in the bread bowl. Making it not worth the money. Get the cup instead. The bread bowl was also old/9stale.My crabcakes were warm and tasted good however I did not like the sauce that they came with. It was like a chipotle smoky sauce that didn’t Go at all! The fish tacos were overly greasy, and I’m not gonna lie, I would not get them again. The oysters however, were fantastic! Extremely fresh and opened well, with no residual shells left in the flesh. The clam linguine was also really good and I had a great amount of clams in it. I will go back for the clam linguine for sure.
Everything was incredible. All the seafood on the menu is alive in the tank before you order it. Oysters were very fresh and delicious. Lobster was to die for. Wait was about an hour to get a table, but we'll worth it. Highly recommend.
Awesome experience for anyone visiting Santa Barbara, we both had the lobster rolls which were delicious. You could either wait for a table inside/outside the restaurant or order takeout via a side window and sit on the benches/tables on the pier. We opted for the latter as it was a little busy, but there was plenty of room for us. Staff were awesome and wait time for food was minimal, definite must visit for Santa Barbara.
PROS: Sitting by the wharf, near the water. Fresh seafood Good amount of shrimp and scallops for a $16 pasta. Friendly waitstaff CONS: Dirty. Kitchen is dirty, wharf is dirty (there was a crab claw under my table). Toilet is dirty. I usually judge a restaurant by the state of its toilet. Be prepared to wait 20-30 min for your turn. Why is there cheese in a crab bisque! It ruined the soup…
