The price is reasonable and the food is delicious. Also the location was perfect!
this place was amazing!! food was outstanding the presentation of everything was on point as well!!!
A great vibe in this restaurant and our waitress Sara was superb. Gave us time to relax and suggested options great rapport and super attentive. My Ahi Poke was perfect and the Sea Bass delicious for my companion. All in all we had a memorable evening.
Location was great, staff was good. Was pretty excited about the description of the food, I had the pistachio crusted ahi and my wife had the mahi mahi, we both had a drink, an old fashioned and a beer. The old fashioned tasted pretty mediocre, both of the plates were cold. Thats right, cold/room temperature rice and fish. Pretty gross when you are spending $100 for dinner. I would not return, if a placed named after fish can’t get fish right, then you are best spending your money elsewhere. If you are into a view with lackluster food, this would be the place for you.
Went here on recommendation of a friend and the food was delicious. Was able to sit outside and have a view of the beach. Had a great menu and the fish tacos were amazing. Will definitely be back if ever in the area.
The SB FisHouse has been around a long time. It's in the tourist heart of SB's waterfront. We approached with some trepidation for this reason, but we were pleasantly surprised. The building looks and feels a bit dated. Everything down to the menus felt a bit worn. Our spirits quickly brightened when our server Breya arrived at our table, Her work was professional and helpful. As for the food, I found the fried fish combo with fish, shrimp and calamari surprisingly good and reasonably priced at $20. My wife enjoyed her ahi club as well. And did I mention the view? It's lovely sitting on the patio. We are locals with lots of food options. We will return.
Very good food and generous portions. Kids loved that they could have mashed potatoes with their fried fish lol. The special ceviche tostadas were pretty exceptional actually. The only small gripe I had is that service was spotty, and it was hard to flag down wait staff for any missed table setting, catch up, drink refills etc. Location is really good, right across the street from the beach.
We had a terrific lunch at the FisHouse in Sant Barbara in May 2022. Service was fast in the outdoor area facing the ocean and Santa Barbara Pier. We had their seared blackened Halibut and Ceviche Trio (Rock fish, Octopus+Scallops and Shrimp. The Halibut was cooked just right, not too flaky, slightly crisp on the outside. The octopus and scallop ceviche contained avocado and sesame sauce and was my favorite. We'll return to dine at FisHouse again.
Crowded-no distancing, and very loud. Service started out okay but was spotty. Inconsistent timing for orders. Fish either not cooked enough or dry. I think they are short staffed right now. Pleasant staff but seemed overwhelmed.
We were very happy with food … fresh fish and good service although the place was very busy. However the portions were too big and we should have a small starter.
