The Santa Barbara Bowl is a magical place to see a concert. My parents have been bowl members since I can remember and some of my best memories are at the Bowl. It's a unique venue, fairly easy to get in and out of, they do supply shuttles for those who may have a hard time getting up the hill. Food and drinks are sold at the venue as well as any gear you may need from the band. I wouldn't even consider the furthest back seat at the bowl a bad seat as I think the bowl only seats about 4500. There are huge bathrooms and hardly ever a wait if you have to run to the restroom midshow. Due to the bowls small size its never too far of a walk either where you can still audibly hear the music well. For those that are in wheelchairs, there is wonderful seating and an elevator to get you down to the bathrooms. The ushers are always very helpful and the security as well.Overall it's an upclose experience with whoever you go see and its awesome. I always leave the bowl feeling happy and ready for the night to keep going. I highly recommend going to see a show here, you won't be disappointed!!
Came here for the Smashing Pumpkins concert in May. I will say the sound quality was amazing. I would have liked it slightly louder, but it was still good where it was at. The venue is also really pretty just to look at. They have a cool Jerry Garcia tribute with a hand sculpture.Seating was comfortable in section G and the view was great. I am deducting 1 star for a few different things.First, the climb is crazy to get the the actual bowl. It’s a huge workout just to get there.Second, the parking situation is terrible.Third, the 10pm cutoff really limits what a band can do, especially if they’re feeling the crowd on a particular night.

Very disappointed in this venue. One of the worst venues that I've ever been to. Drove 3 hours, through Los Angeles traffic and Santa Barbara construction zones to arrive at venue that makes you park 3 blocks down the road, for a fee. Then have to trek up a curvy incline, to arrive at an area where they sold food, which was a very small area. To get to the seats, there are stairs that seem to be needing repairs. They are not stairs one should attempt to run up or down. The steps within the aisles are long and taller than usual, requiring use of a handrail, which bytheway a handrail that thousands have to touch. During COVID times and no hand sanitizer anywhere. Sitting all the way in top section is by far the worst. The sound was lacking, as there weren't any additional speakers in the area. The seats themselves are uncomfortable and do not accommodate people of extended widths. Also, the ushering staff don't know how to use their flashlights properly and they stand directly in your way of seeing the stage. It makes it very difficult to try and record because people cannot find their seats and are aimlessly floating around stopping in direct blocking of said recording and it was just really frustrating that the view of the stage isnt great. One would also think getting a view of the ocean would be cool, but that was also lacking the wow-factor. It was very, whats the word, uninspiring. Overall, this venue is a terrible choice and I probably won't ever go there again.
What an amazing music venue, small intimate and the sound is wonderful.. there is a hard cut-off for music of 10pm so shows tend to start earlier than other places...This is a fairly easy walk about 1.8mi from the hotels near the beach.. the restaurants around are amazing so leave early grab food, then enjoy an wonderful venue and show...
What an awesome venue. They knocked the VIP expierence out of the park. Definitely worth the trip up from Los Angeles.

Wow. What an amazing venue. It was positively beautiful. Seeing the sunset as the bands came on, having fantastic, local beverages, friendly yet stern and supportive security... It made the entire night wonderful despite some... Not so great participants in the audience. It's good to know the good balance out the folks who just want to make problems.My partner and I saw glass animals and it was transcendental! Everything about this venue from the check in, to the bathrooms (which were MASSIVE for the size of the venue) to the way the neighborhood was Essentially closed off to cars at the end, felt like an otherworldly experience. Would 100% do again
