What a treat! Very different than your traditional sushi bar but in a great way! I have never had anything here I didn’t like. Let the servers suggest some things to you! They know what they’re talking about.

Way to expensive for what they offer. The sushi roll was ok, Sashimi platter way to expensive. We sat outside, they have this horrible plastic chairs and tables.

Food was delicious and the service was even better! If you go ask for Kassy, shes great!

Asked for white rice to go and got sushi rice with a hair in it :-/

We really enjoyed Sakana. We are looking for good sushi in the Santa Barbara area and we think we found a winner...in Montecito. We sat outside under an umbrella and heat lamp in essentially a strip mall parking lot. The pandemic has broken down all my biases when it comes to restaurant seating and decor. I’m just happy places are opening, and in the case of Sakana, thriving. The menu is huge and creative. We ordered a selection of delicious but perhaps less than adventurous offerings. All winners. Our server Sheena rocked the lot with prompt, helpful and energetic service. Thank you! Our return is imminent and eagerly anticipated.

The oysters on the half shell are delicious. press box sushi is very unique! Definitely a must try

Love this place... sitting outdoors at a strip mall with the I101 as background music eating The Best Sushi I've ever had... anywhere! Two rolls and a "press box" (imagine a roll without seaweed). The most harmonious layers, flavors and textures...way way way beyond traditional. My only regret is that I live 7 hours away!!Posting my order, handwritten and hopefully aligns with the order that the pics post.

The sushi combinations here are outstanding, they definitely think outside of the box in the best way possible. Everyone is very friendly and the fish is super fresh.

Probably the best sushi in town and adequate pricing. Better value than Arigato and you don't have to deal with the ridiculousness of State Street. Worth trying if you're in the mood for decent sushi.

The food was fresh and delicious! The service was wonderful! Looking forward to our next visit!
