Been going to Rusty's since the early 80's and still return when I get a chance to visit SB or Carp. I introduced my wife to their delicious pizza a few years ago and she is hooked. (she's not a big pizza fan so pretty impressive)Rusty's is always my go to spot when i'm in town and craving some comfort food.
The ambiance was nice, old feeling but comfy. Had to clean the sticky table with hand sanitizer napkins..The menu showed a picture of Rusty Special with pepperoni, bell peppers, sausage, but we got a cheese pizza with bell peppers, order said 10 wings in an order or 20 wings, with celery can't remember if carrots, we order 10, received 9 wings, no veggies, 2 drinks , our pizza was cheese n bell peppers, $38 dollars. My lil nephew said take it back, we had enough and I am not the one to rtn food. NO ONE CAN GET ME BACK THERE! NOT EVEN FOR FREE.Just a rip off! You want folks to come back do us right! Left a bad taste in my mouth.
We were riding bikes on state st and saw rustys pizza and decided to stop. It has outside tables so we could stay close to our bikes. The pizza was good and it seemed they had a lot of deliveries going out the door. We got the thin crust which we thought was good. They also have a salad bar and game’s for the kids.
It’s a hit or miss with Rusty’s. Generally a miss but still go back to them as a late night pizza option. Over priced for the size and quality. I mean check out the canned chicken and portion. It’s mediocre.
A Santa Barbara institution and must pick-up/delivery spot (in-house dinning a “unique” experience). Very helpful staff, quick prep and excellent pizza. Prepared salads are great too!

we are from Washington state first thing we do after getting off the plane call Rusty's pizza for pickup or like yesterday stopped by and dined in. Last year wife ordered one to go and put in freezer bags, froze and put in suitcase.
Rusty's did not arrive at my kids birthday party! It was a disaster from the first phone call to place my order until the end. The rude and arrogant phone service of the person who took my order refused to type in the exact location of the party in his system and verbally cut me off. The driver lied and said he was at the park and didn't see anyone. No one called me! There were balloons and kids everywhere! ??? My correct phone number is in their system as they call me all the time when we order. Rustys pizza completely trashed my kiddos birthday party!! The kids are fairly young, only 7 years old and came straight from school. They were SO hungry. My husband and I were so embarrassed and mortified. We called numerous times and they still did not deliver. Until it got too late and the party was ending and the park was closing so we had to cancel the order. So so so so upset!!!! And not even a phone call to me from anyone? I'm hoping some one will at least see this and call me? This is NOT ok!! Our guests were so gracious but they will most definitely never be using rustys for their kids birthdays they said. SUCH bad business and the worst service.
Excellent pizza!! The Chile Verde is spicy and soooo good! I also love Rusty's Special and recommend the pantastic pan crust!!
GREAT food !! Pizza delicious. Highly recommended. Plus the building it's located in is awesome , so cool.
