We ate Chicago ultimate deep pizza with Insalata salad. The pizza was good but not excellent. Its Crust was awesome but it had tomato sauce more than everything. You barely can find other things like sausage or mushroom in your pizza. The salad was Ok too. Their beers were perfect I liked beers.About the staff, they are friendly and kind. One more thing, deep pizzas take about 30 minutes to be prepared.
Awesome deep dish pizza! We had the Greek, with artichoke hearts, feta cheese and olives. The crust was crispy, and the bottom was not soggy. How do they do that?We concur that it was better than the deep dish we had in Chicago, itself. They have a kids menu, too. My son had a cheese piadina, which is an Italian flatbread covered in mozzarella cheese, folded and baked (but not a calzone). ?They have a great selection of beers and wines, too. Go deep for the pizza, though!
Always delicious! Live the butter lettuce salad and the vegetarian pizza!
Who would have thought, a legit Chicago deep dish pizza in Santa Barbara, CA. This Chicago native approves!
Service was quite terrible. Ordered two regular pizzas and a deep pan. The two regular pizzas were finished and had to wait another 15 min on top for the deep pan. Kept asking for it and they kept saying 2 more minutes. The womens bathrooms were messy and the music was blaring in there. The pizza was ok, in my opinion not worth $17. Don’t get the cheesy mac n cheese !!! The description looks nice but it comes in a bread bowl and it’s all watery because it has been frozen
Service is slow! However, we like the location. Don’t wait too long to order your deep dish because it takes 45 minutes. We had wings while we waited. They could have been crispier. The deep dish was delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh. Had the Chicago. Would return
Ordered the deep dish half ham, half pepperoni and it was delicious! The pizza was flavorful, except I swear it didn't have any toppings. The caesars salad was yummy. I didn't care too much for the garlic bread. The service was friendly but SLOW! It took forever to get someone to take our order and to get the check!
Awesome Deep Dish Pizza .. Great Staff and service is great . A must when in Santa Barbara. 5 stars
During my staycation down here in Santa Barbara, I got a craving for pizza. Never explored the area before and noticed that Paxti’s Pizza serves Deep Dish pizza. Never had that in my life and the photos looked exactly like what I wanted to try. Arriving there was easy as far as parking goes and public parking was just around the corner. I ordered a deep dish pepperoni, mushroom, and roasted garlic pizza. We were told that it would take around 40 minutes because it’s made to order. I didn’t mind the wait time, I figured it would only build my hunger. When the pizza came out, my mouth began to salivate instantly. It was so beautiful.WARNING!!! just like a hot pocket straight out the microwave, resist the urge to dig in and test the cheesy, crispy pizza small bites at a time. I couldn’t hold back and did burn the roof of my mouth. My fault entirely. I do have to say that the bite was very worth it. It’s everything I ever dreamed a deep dish pizza would taste like. It was a lot to take in per bite and the crispyness of the crust definitely just cradles the cheesy, tomatoey goodness perfectly. Im sure that I will find a deep dish pizza place close to where I live, but Paxti’s Pizza definitely set the bar very high. If I’m ever in the area again I will make sure to stop to get another pizza. The smallest size which was a 10” one was perfect for two.
The deep dish pizza is always worth the wait! The tomato sauce pairs well with the honey “dipping,” for the crust! A huge shout out to our server for Chris for his friendly and happy service! Thank you Chris!
