as an Italian girl I gotta say that it is a very good restaurant. The staff is welcoming and friendly. If u are looking for an Italian restaurant in Santa Barbara, this is the best place to go !
The pasta dishes we both had were good. One dish was linguini with crab and a very large prawn. Although the overall dish was good, the oversized prawn (gambas) was not. The angel hair pasta plate was good; a bit too large for my taste so much was wasted. The wine selection was not as good as we remembered and had limited choices. The after dinner coffee was not very good as it was quite weak. Service was fair, pricing was a bit high for what was served. I'm not convinced we will return; nonetheless you may wish to give it a try to see how you like it. Restaurants seems to vary from day to day in terms of how good the food is. Nature of the beast I presume.
One of my favorite restaurants. Whenever I am in town it is a must. Food is great service always top notch. True Italian experience!
The food was excellent as was the service. We enjoyed the atmosphere as well. We would highly recommend the restaurant.
Food and service were superb. It has outdoor seating now, which is a nice option.
This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants anywhere in the U.S. You must not leave without trying the Panna Cotta! A bit pricey but worth every bite.
Always good food and welcoming folks; a Santa Barbara gem.
I'm afraid this visit to Olio e Limone was a big disappointment. I don't go there often, but often enough to know that usually the food, service and ambiance is amongst the best in Santa Barbara. Their prices are on the higher side for town, so hence why I don't go there too often. But on this occasion the service was appalling! We had to ask three times to get wine. Then, after being ignored for 30 minutes, we had to call over the busboy to ask him to please get our waiter to take our order! They knew we were going to the theater, and still procrastinated to the point that we were worried that we would have enough time to eat our meal! Once the food came, it was sort of mediocre. One friend ordered the special peach and buffola mozarella salad. The peaches were not ripe and only a half peach for a salad costing $14!!! I ordered the veal scallopini with artichokes. It was nice, but only luke-warm. Such a shame. And the roasted potatoes had obviously been sitting in a warmer for a long time. They looked great, but were soggy and obviously cooked a long time before serving. We had to wait a long time for our bill, and when it finally came, had to sprint down State Street to the Lobero for our concert. All in all, not a good experience. I am afraid it will be a long, long time before I return to Olio e Limone.
This is a restaurant that has had consistently wonderful food since the day it opened
Not a super innovative menu. Good food. Small portions (we ordered the catch of the day for 2 and were served six roasted potatoes and a small bunch of broccoli).
