The sandwich was great but the story about how Nona started is even better and inspiring.
Nona was so sweet! She hooked us up with some great sandwiches when we were on our way to the airport. Selection of grocery items is a little odd, but everything we got was great.
Used to love coming here, but now they are closed half the time I try to go or they are stressed out while making one sandwich for me. It makes me sad to write this but I haven't had a good experience here in awhile. :(
Decided that we would stop to get a sub that used to be the old ‘Tinos Italian market..Better know now as Nona’s sb Italian market,,Well that was i big mistake! As we walked in the front store it completely looked run down!The owner that was training a girl, looked to be stressed out and uptight!The sandwiches were on o day old crusty bread and a slight hard! I had purchased the spicy pepperoni,That was 3 really thin slices of pepperoni and a slice of cheese that was so thin that you can almost see through it( believe me or not!) you get you lettuce and you pepper as well but far from the old and original tinos subs back from the day! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!Now if you want the original tinos you have to. Go to there new store on Carrillo st ,to get that original sub tast and freshness daily. The store is very nice and clean,and all of the workers are very friendly and kind!I would highly recommend this place to all that want the original tinos back from the day , i was born and raised here in Santa Barbara and tinos was a big part of my childhood and still up to this day!
It brings tears in my eyes I used to come here since I was 5 every weekend I came back and it brings back soo many memories I love this place it makes me feel like family 10/10 I love this place

When I walked in it was super homey it felt like being in Italy almost the girl who made my sandwiches was super friendly and very nice and the sandwiches were excellent I recommend this place to anyone I would definitely go back
