Enjoyed walking around the Funk Zone when we saw this line outside of Mony's. Seemed legit as the line seemed to maintain throughout the day so we decided to stand in it. While the line was a bit slow (about 30 minutes), once you ordered the food was fast and feast for both the eyes and the stomach. It was the nice combination of good quality, great care put into the food at a reasonable price. Well worth the wait in line.

Favorite fish and shrimp tacos in SB. Chips are always fresh. Unique and fun salsas. Plus the Mony’s crew are awesome people.
Let's put it this way - my 13-year old picky eater still talks about Mony's - 6 months later. LOVED every bite of it....and can't wait to return!

We stumbled on this little restaurant on our way through Santa Barbara. Excellent food and good service.
We enjoyed shrimp burrito and carne Asada burrito. Huge portions and too much rice for me. There’s a plastic in my sauce but sauce itself was good.
Mony's is a no-brainer destination in Santa Barbara for street tacos and other Mexican street food. The pricing is fair (about $2.5 per taco) and the staff are helpful and friendly. In the past, I've had a hard time getting more chips, because they often only give one order of complimentary chips per order (no matter the size of the group). The various salsas are all awesome, I especially like the pistachio and the pineapple. This would be a 5 star review except that their hours make it inconvenient to actually go at a reasonable time (closes at 3pm). This doesn't really stop me from going whenever I have a chance.
Visiting Santa Barbara, this place had excellent tacos, especially fish and shrimp. If you order just tacos they will come with chips, get some extra salsas. Seating outside was enough to get a table without much difficulty even when there was a decent line for ordering.
