Great food and sangria, will visit again
Wonderful food and service in a beautiful outdoor patio.
Trendy vibe, tasty food, and friendly staff. We shared a few small plates and liked all of them. Our favorites were the grilled squid and flatbread with fig jam. This place is on the pricey side and if you dont have a reservation you might have to stand in line for an hour. I highly recommend stopping by especially if you are in town for a short time.
Delicious authentic Spanish cuisine prepared with care and fresh local California ingredients. My husband and I ate on the oatio and were kept deliciously warm by the glowing coal fireplace. Our waitress, Miko, was incredibly knowledgeable not only about each menu item but also about the extensive wine list. We opted for tapas to start and paella to share accompanied by a chilled red wine from the Canary islands that Miko had suggested. It was absolute perfection! Don’t forget dessert! I had the chocolate mousse and my husband the churros (which were enough for two people!!). Bon appetite!
Our dinner at the Loquita was the dining highlight of our May 2022 trip to Santa Barbara, California. Loquita hit all the marks in terms of atmosphere, food, service, and cocktails. Our server, Jessica, was extremely knowledgeable about the food and drinks and provided excellent recommendations for both. The Blanco Sangria went perfectly with our primarily seafood meal. The Agua de Vida cocktail offered a delightful combination of flavors including a smoky cardamom mezcal, carrot juice, and oloroso sherry. The El Bulli amuse bouche was a fun way to start our meal. The beef carpaccio and octopus tapas were sublime. The seafood paella was one of the best we've ever had. We finished our meal with the churros dessert. The dulce de leche dipping sauce was the perfect pairing. If you are having trouble deciding where to have dinner in Santa Barbara, put Loquita at the top of your list - you will not be disappointed!
Very nice outdoor setting and top-flight tasty food, good service. Expensive but fair value. We'll go back. Make a reservation for sure.
The courtyard garden of this authentic Spanish restaurant is such a cute setting for a romantic dinner. We shared a paella, which was so delicious and a great experience.
Nested on the corner of Santa Barbara’s urban wine trail - aka @thefunkzone is Loquita. This popular restaurant serves Spanish tapas and showcases fresh and seasonal flavors in each dish. Walking into @loquitasb‘s cozy and inviting environment was the perfect way to end a packed day full of wine tasting.? Ordered:1. Chorizo y Pollo Paella: 12/10! The chorizo provided a rich and fragrant aroma and the chicken was so juicy and tender. This dish had a tartness to it from the lemon aioli which made this dish feel a little less heavy.2. Carpaccio de Carne: 10/10 The beef was thinly sliced and paired with arugula and pickled mustard seed/olives. The dish had a Mediterranean spin to it, making it unique and delicious.3. Pulpo: 7/10 The spanish octopus was a must try for me because if it’s cooked right, the octopus can be so tender and decadent. However, this time I didn’t like it as much.. I think it’s because my boyfriend loves this animal and I felt rly bad LOL.4. Patatas Bravas: 10/10 The potatoes were so crispy, you could do ASMR by scraping your fork on the exterior. The sauce consisted of paprika emulsion, roasted garlic aioli, and parsley which was excellent. The cocktails are also really unique and highlight the thoughtfulness that is shown throughout the entire menu. I can see why Loquita is both a local’s and traveler’s favorite as their hospitality is warm and the dishes are vibrant and [email protected] on Instagram for more in depth reviews:)
