Let’s be honest, you’re going to be eating here for the location. And it is really wonderful. When we went, they were only seating people on the upper level, and no matter where you found yourself there were wonderful views of the ocean and the harbor. It was really pretty. Food was fine, nothing exceptional. I had a salmon salad and I wish I had asked for the dressing on the side the bottom half was in edible because it was like balsamic dressing soup, with a little greens mixed in. The kids like their fish and chips, and I thought the chowder was really nice.
I ordered the lobster roll with chips & coleslaw and it was very good. The staff were great and my seating overlooked the sea and beach, which was great too.
Very very slow service, plenty of staff but they were just hanging around the bar area chatting to each other. Lobster was chewy and slimy, almost a jelly texture. Not worth the $35 for the starter. Battered fish was super oily and very heavy. The Water tasted like chlorine.
We spent $100 on food and it was pretty terrible. I got the crab cake sandwich it was more of a crab cake on toast, no flavor. The french fries taste like jack n the box and they were cold. My kids got the chicken strips and fries, and the chicken strips tasted like fish so they didn’t even eat them. I’m most disappointed in the clam chowder… It maybe tasted like butter, but in way was clam chowder. They only had a few drink choices since the soda lines weren’t working, tea definitely wasn’t fresh. Overall, i’m sad I wasted a $100 there. Definitely not worth it, the worker seemed like he was trying his best, but it’s obvious management could careless.
I've been a loyal customer eating at Longboard's Grill at least once a week for the past year. The food is generally OK and the service has been excellent, except for tonight. The two (2) women at the reception desk were rude when I complained about how filthy the women's bathroom was. One of the receptionist's actually rolled her eyes at me. Neither seemed at all concerned that the bathroom was disgusting and needed to be cleaned. I have never been treated so badly in my life. I would definitely recommend that you avoid this restaurant. It's a shame that they employ such inept receptionists who are unable to handle criticism.
Super adresse, prix correct pour la région et très bon produits
Ordered seafood platter for 1, and fish & chips. Seafood platter advertised King crab legs, oysters, clams, mussels, shrimp, and half lobster tail. Received was snow crab legs, no oysters, shrimp that was over cooked - and lobster that was inedible (it was one step away from being boot leather tough). Husband ordered fish and chips and he could have rung the grease out of it. The manager(?) came over and asked how everything was. We let him know it was not what was on the menu. He comped our drinks. Big deal! I don’t expect a free meal but for $70.00 it should have been what was advertised! Our total bill was $100.00 even with our drinks taken off. Absolutely terrible!
Right as you enter Stearns Wharf..waitstaff pleasant..good views ..a road house type venue..apparently under new management the week we were there.
Food was good, large portions. Fries were cold, but considering how cold it was outside, I wasn’t upset about the fries.
Stopped in for a late lunch and had the fish and chips. Asked waiter what type of fish it was before ordering and was told red snapper. Sure seemed like regular beer battered cod to us. French fries are seasoned fries and were overly salted. Seeing how this is pretty much a tourist spot we didn't go expecting fine dining and didn't feel like belaboring the point of red snapper or cod ? They do serve a decent chowder. Mostly went to wharf for "old times sake" on the last day of a vacation. Have great memories from visiting Stearns wharf on previous trips dating back to the 80's...years before the fire. I read an article that said Longboards is for sale, maybe new owners will up the quality a notch. Good view but probably more of a fun place for drinks and appetizers
