Lama dog is a nice chill beer drinking spot. Eric Torres, our bartender, gave great service and recommendations. The food from the adjacent Nook left a lot to be desired, but the staff working that spot were nice and efficient.
Llama dog is my favorite spot in Santa Barbara. I only get over from England every four years or so but it always find it hasn't changed much. Same friendly and clued-up staff and good selection of beers. Like it so much I keep buying T-shirts!
Food at the Nook is great and the ambiance is nice but the bartenders are unbelievably rude. One might have even been the owner or at least the GM. Will think twice about coming back.
We are locals and typically enjoy Lama Dog's because of the rotating beer menu and good food even if the bar service is average. Tonight we took friends visiting from LA and the bar tender was such a jerk, I mean he was a complete and total jerk and so rude to our friends that I don't think we'll ever go back. Really disappointing.

Decent selection of beer that you can mix and match. The space is fun, but so much like all the other hip, vaguely funky outfits.
Lots of outdoor seating that is dog friendly, that’s a huge plus! But a huge difference in size of the entrees - the rockfish tacos were TINY while the burger was typical and salmon salad was nicely large! Beware! Everything tasted pretty good.
Llama Dog is a great brewery to visit when coming to Santa Barbara. They do not brew themselves but have a wide variety of brews including from local breweries. Great atmosphere and always count on there being so many cute pups to pet when you’re there.
Great selection of beer, both draft and bottled/canned. Phenomenal bartenders. Cool shipping container used as a kitchen. Great outdoor and indoor seating. Great quick connection with the brewery next door.
