The tempura udon bento plate was good. The udon pretty plain but overall was a satisfying meal. I'll be back.

Yet another perfect dinner. Our 3rd time at this delightful little "bigger on the inside"joint right in the heart of the Mesa! After confirming with the management that safe, gluten free options were available, ( Remember to do this every time you go to any restaurant even if they've accommodated you before!) I had the Chirachi Sashimi Special with gluten free miso soup. My partner had Chicken Donburi and declared it excellent. We shared a wonderful roll that I'm embarrassed to report I can't recall the name of but it was tangy, slightly spicy and tasty!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Very little sushi knowledge. Typical frozen fish sushi spot, which is common, but this spot needs to step it up in flavors, preparation, dishes, and creativity.
i ordered to-go and i am usually stoked but i was really trying to get suggestions (would have paid anything). The operator seemed very out of the loop and that was disappointing. I received my order and all 4 rolls tasted about the same. Im not going to give up on this place but i think they need to step up their game significantly. I will say that the edamame is delicious and probably the best I've ever had. My suggestion is that you make your own judgement by checking them out yourselves.
After a meal, if you want to take the leftovers home, the mean-spirited owner actually charges you fifty cents for a bag. Do they expect you to roll up the extra food in your socks? Further, the wait staff often mixes up orders. This isn't a joyous spot to dine.
