Waitress was nice and very experienced. Maybe owner? Fresh squeezed orange at 4.95 a glass. Coffee was fresh and very hot just the way my husband enjoys his coffee. Pancakes are cooked well and fluffy. I was very disappointed with the home fries though. After reading Rave reviews about them I wanted to try them. I think I make mine better at home to tell you the truth. First of all it’s a small portion. I have had more at other breakfast places. And they put no salt or anything to flavor them. Even the onion needed to be cooked a little more. It’s just the potatoes and a lot of diced onion and a little sprinkle of orange bell pepper and green. That’s it. No flavor. I think they should fry them with at least a tiny bit of salt. Anyway thought I would share with you. It was a very busy place and I can see many locals enjoy to go orders and eating there. I might try them again in The future and try there omelettes.

We stopped here before going to the museum and were happy to find an outdoor table. The waitress was very attentive and we ordered the eggs for breakfast and they were cooked perfectly. The price is a little high, but not bad for the area. In all it was a good place to grab a bite.

Great food and atmosphere. Really gives a relaxing vibe for Sunday breakfast ?. Will comeback if im in the area again.

This was a really great surprise, right on State Street. We went here after having visited The Mission and it was so good. Our server, a beautiful Asian gal whose name I can't remember, waited on us and was so friendly and offered really great service. The food was wonderful. Keep in mind this is an old-school diner, not a lot of tables. It's not going to win any James Beard awards, but it is just plain old tasty and delicious food. I would definitely go back here, my Reuben sandwich was wonderful, not too much bread, light and fluffy. My wife ate all of her club sandwich as well. Lots of good choices here, excellent staff, great service, and just a cool old vibe. Prices are very reasonable for SB and for service and quality of food.

Good place for American breakfast. Their food/coffee was good coupled with excellent customer service. There are some street parking spots closeby.

We had all American breakfast, YUMMY!Wherever we go, we always always look for local place for foodie, local experience. This place isn’t disappointing, highly recommended. What great staff too, pretty attentive to your needs. Will definitely come back again.

The ambience is old diner, with many standard offerings as well as a few unusuals. Just after 8:30 AM there was room at a booth. The waitress was welcoming, the menu plentiful, and things came quickly. The eggs over easy and the bacon were cooked perfectly , and my husband enjoyed his egg white omelet (with a pancake side!)

If ever in Santa Barbara and want breakfast, this is the place!Excellent service and the most delicious food!Every time we are here, we leave with a big smile!Highly recommend it!

Pleasant Surprise! When my friend and I entered the restaurant we were greeted by the pretty hostess Amy who told us to take any seat. She promptly asked us if we coffee or something else. We both had coffee. It wasn't S$bucks but was OK (I had 3 cups) and exactly what I would expect at a breakfast restaurant. Now on to breakfast. My friend wasn't too hungry so he opted for fruit and fries. The fruit was fresh and the fries tasty. I had the pastrami omelette, onions and home fries. OMG best home fries ever. Seriously my friend and I were so happy with such a simple thing. The omelette was really good and I could cut the pastrami with a fork. ? Looking for a traditional breakfast cafe? Garrett's is it!

I had a breakfast sandwich; sausage, egg on a croissant. Pretty quick; not busy. Good service. Tasted good. $11.25+tip=$15
