We had a lovely evening at Stella Mares. We ate in the Greenhouse. What a beautiful room. It is all glass with very high ceilings, and a fireplace providing warmth. It is so elegant. What a beautiful space to have a lovely meal. The service was very good. We shared a bowl of French onion soup. It had a very flavourful broth and a nice cheesy topping. For entrees I had the pork porterhouse with cognac peppercorn sauce and my husband had the orange duck My entree came with ratatouille and potatoes and my husband’s duck was server with broccoli. My pork porterhouse was a good sized steak and it was very good. My husband said that his duck breast was a bit tough. For dessert we shared beignets with cinnamon sugar. It was a lovely evening in a beautiful room.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner for our large party in one of the private dining rooms. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the service was outstanding. The food was very good with a good value was well.
The room is gorgeous, fire place is a nice ambiance too. The service was 5 star. The onion soup was outstanding, as advertised. Escargot was served in the shell. The duck orange was incredible. We should have just ordered that, but wanted to try the Coq au vin. Although good, it was the weakest of the four. The also have outdoor dinning available with heaters.
Wonderful food. Glassed in patio with reflected lights were like a fantasy. Must be lots of regular customers since the location us remote. Try the lemon cake.

This is my new favorite restaurant. It’s absolutely delicious and the dining room is so comfortable and beautiful The staff is great and attentive.
This restaurant is wonderful and because it is not in the main tourist area, appears to be frequented more by locals. The menu is terrific and the service outstanding. It will be nice if they continue the outside dining because it is a pleasant setting. Make a reservation and enjoy the evening.

Wow! What a great place ! What an amazing restaurant ! we had an absolute great dining experience from the ambience, service, to the food, everything was stellar; our server Nelson was top notch! We highly recommend Stella Mare! The braised short rib was outstanding! Great wine and dessert!
My small group and I had a wonderful Sunday brunch.There was an impressive, varied menu and everything we tried was just perfect. The service was gracious and efficient as we enjoyed a beautiful Santa Barbara experience.I cannot wait to return and try other items.Don’t miss this gem.
