I have been going here over the past 20 years. There was a time when I lived down the street and would head in and read a book and grab an iced mocha. Even after years of being out of state. Scott still remembers me. I had already ordered so couldn't test him to see if he'd remember the drink as well. I feel he would have. The second I took a sip a rush of happy memories came back of my time spent here.

Great bacon breakfast burrito with spicy salsa. Yummy smoothies as well!

I love it here!! The coffee and Chai are excellent. The food is excellent and prepared while you wait. I always get either their Gemini sandwich or there Mediterranean salad, but everything else is great too. The staff are mostly super welcoming and friendly. I enjoy sitting outside on their front deck area.

Always friendly and accommodating for your specific drink order! Great breakfast/lunch food too!

Our favorite, best valued, delicious cup off coffee in Santa Barbara! Always greeted with a smile through all the challenges of the pandemic!

Excellent breakfast spot in Santa Barbara. Friendly staff, always popular with locals (that's a great sign), and the decor with the bikes and old road signs is simple but fun. The bakery section directly in front of the door welcomes you in with a plethora of selections from sweet coffee cake to soft morning buns, and so much more. If you are looking for something a little more filling, the breakfast burritos are delicious, hot, and tasty. The tortilla chips as a side are dry, but not a concern as they are not the main attraction. Talented baristas make the beverages fast and perfectly. The black coffee choices are on rotation, always fresh, and most importantly: hot!Shout out to the staff for always delivering with a great smile and on time. Love swinging by for breakfast bright and early when I pass through SB.

Very poor customer service and experience. Though we are local and live nearby, it is was likely our last time at this place. Me and my son came here for breakfast on Veterans Day 2021 at 9 am. Place was empty. Simple order… bagel, muffin and lox-bagel … 20 min later lox-bagel (i.e. half of our order) was not ready while the rest was getting cold and stale. After my second check, we were told that our order was dropped on the floor and will have to be redone but they are out of bagel we initially ordered. I told them ok, but since I have bad knees (56 yr old Army Vet) I have asked them to bring it out when ready, so I do not have to come for the 4th time to check/order. The young sleepy man at the counter was very indifferent, non-apologetic and rude. I told him that we are running late for the Veterans Day ceremony at the Cemetery starting at 10 am. He could not care less and after another 10-15 minutes, our food was still not brought to us (sitting at the counter). We have canceled the remainder of order and left. They had not even care to apologies. This is not a way to treat any customer and especially a one with physical disability on the Veterans Day with a young kid... Beware when you go … or not... Handlebarcoffe is just a down the street with better and friendly service, better coffee and even plates and silverware (can you imagine? so you do not have to eat on the napkins at the dirty tables like at this place). To all Veterans; “Thank you for choosing to serve!”

This place displeases me deeply. Food is decent, service is terrible, don’t answer their phone and don’t have the full menu for online orders. This is my first review of any restaurant/ cafe/ bar you name it. I made an account specifically to write this, place does not deserve anyone’s business. Do me a favor and go to Dune, light house, Starbucks, French press, jeanines, pigeon, cajè, natural cafe, shoreline, crush cakes, savoy, literally ask a homeless person to brew ur coffee and it will be better… this is a promise.

What I loved: the friendly chatter with the fellows behind the coffee bar. They told me about Stumptown coffee and why they chose it. They explained their Rose latte and other beverage choices and were patient while I figured it out.

What a lovely location! They serve a wide variety of coffees and pastries. These are all quite reasonable prices, which I appreciate. Kodus also visits all of the staff to ensure that their clients are being taken care of. They went above and beyond to make me happy and to make my stay so memorable. Thank you so much, and please continue your wonderful job.
