tacos are amazing…homemade tortillas…wow

I'm from Mexico City and this is one of my favorite places in SB because of the food's flavor, variety, and nice presentation. In fact my friends brought me here to convince me to move to SB and they were successful! The food is definitely authentic and here I can find dishes that are hard to find in the US. Don't forget to come on Fridays to try their amazing cochinita pibil tacos! The meat is so soft and flavorful that it takes me back to my childhood memories. Tacos al pastor or gringas (quesadillas with pastor) are also really good and taste like in Mexico City. I also love to get any tacos with shrimp or other sea food. Their ceviche with mango is delicious but you might want to share that with someone plus try some tacos.Another plus is the location. The public market is beautiful and cool. If you are nervous about covid, they have plenty of outdoor sitting where you can enjoy the nice SB weather and streets. So I like bringing friends and family when they are visiting. Just FYI, these tacos and food are considered fancy Mexican food and I agree. So the prices are high. You'll end up spending at least around 15 usd if you are hungry only for food (not including drinks) but you'll have a great culinary experience. That's why I don't come here so often. But it's definitely worth coming!Another downside is that since it’s all take out, they give you bunch of plastic utensils, plastic salsa packages and disposable boxes. So my eco-friendly heart is broken every time I come here. I wish they had reusable plates and cutlery for those who are eating here. It would be worth more worth paying the high prices. I’m surprised they don’t do it because my favorite (and cheaper) taqueria does it (Pipeye’s). So I really hope they start reducing their waste.

I loved their creativity. Food is beautiful and delicious!

Most of the other reviews cover the bases - fresh, well-priced, well-seasoned, colorful food and drinks inside of a very cool, if not a bit small, food hall. They were slammed on a random Tuesday in April and handled everything professionally and efficiently. Sayulita Ceviche and Mole Tacos were notably delicious. Support them. We need more places like this!

The best taco I’ve had in ages, the mole con pollo has my heart! Wonderful service, quick orders and the fresh out the fryer tortilla chips are stunning ✨ definitely check it out when in Santa Barbara!!

My boyfriend and I drive 200 miles once a month to eat here. They have the best tacos in TOWN. Each bite is flavourful and burst with flavor. Their sauces pack a wonderful punch! Something we do miss is there habanero salsa, but I digress. Also, their fish ceviche is a culinary delight. They are able to combine different textures and flavors to create the perfect bite.

Great selection of Ceviche and tacos. Highly recommend grabbing several items to explore the menu. Get all of the hot sauces, some are spicy, while others are more flavor forward. Something for everyone!

Amazing takes on creative modern Mexican cuisine. Their dishes carry forward the rich flavors of traditional Mexican food, adding pops of modern flavors and techniques that take it over the top.We stopped in for lunch and had a few of their massive tacos and a quesadilla. All came on oversized taco tortillas and were packed with veggies, fun textures and new flavors. I went back for seconds and left a happy man.

This place offers fantastic options and everything we tried was fantastic. The horchata was creamy and a little less sweet than some as there was a good cinnamon flavor. The quesabirria was so good. The meat had a great flavor and the flavors with the salsa all worked. The chilaquiles were good as well as the ingredients were all fresh and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Honestly, everything else was so good this otherwise solid bowl was the least exciting. The star for us on this one was the cauliflower taco. We ordered that taco on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. It was very different and the flavors go well together. It may not carry as well for takeout since the veggies would lose their crisp, but it was a delicious taco for our visit. Wish this place was close to home so we could continue to explore the menu!

Outstanding and authentic food that's delicious and inventive. The queso with mushrooms was heavenly and broth of tortilla soup was incredibly flavorful. Highly recommend.
