Went to the restaurant today ordered a half salad and was charged $21 no drink no nothing else just a half salad then when I requested bread the waiter told me that they didn’t have any and that they still had a bake some than 10-15 minutes later I asked again and he said that he forgot and that they still haven’t put in the oven. Definitely will not go back to that restaurant
My wife and I stopped by here to grab dinner on our last night of our honeymoon in Santa Barbara. She wanted her Salmon here so thats why we came here. We walked to the restrauant from our hotel which was a mile away. When we walked in, we got seated right away. I used the Dodger win pizza deal and my fiancée got her Salmon. The service was slower than usual but we were understanding with the world we live in. My pizza was alright but my wife said her Salmon tasted plain. I taste it as well and it was plain to me too. When the bill came, they forgot to apply my CPK reward for the pizza so I had to tell them.
Post COVID they are having trouble getting enough help, so the service has suffered a little bit. But, the food quality is still great!
I have just had my first bad experience at California Pizza Kitchen. We sat outside because we take our 3 year old ShihTzu everywhere. Things got off to a bad start when our drinks came out wrong. When I mentioned this, our waiter blamed it on people ordering while wearing masks - although I don’t see how Diet Coke which my wife ordered can sound like water. This was not corrected until after the food was brought out. We waited and waited and when the food arrived the pizzas and the focaccia were cold. The salad my wife ordered had no chicken and my full salad was only the half salad. No one came to ask how the food. The waiter reappeared with a plate after 10 minutes and said “Oh we forgot your chicken “ to my wife. By this time I had already shared my chicken with my wife.The outdoor heaters were all out of gas so couldn’t be lit.The stream of people going in and out for pick up orders was constant and appeared to be prioritized over actual diners.I will definitely not be going to this CPK again.The manager from the restaurant phoned me to personally address my concerns. She was apologetic and obviously cares about each customer. She offered me gift cards to be used at any CPK by way of an apology. We will return to give the location another try. Great response which changed my opinion of the Santa Barbara CPK!
Love hitting up the cozy atmosphere of CPK, nestles in the lovely Paseo Nuevo shopping mall. There's something about sitting where you can see the pizza oven warming the room, and having nice waitpersons pour a nice glass of wine to go with all the out of the ordinary food selections....
This CPK is inside a beautiful mall in Santa Barbara. The service is simply amazing. Our waiter today was Dylan. The food at this particular CPK is way better than other locations I've eaten at.
Good food and good vibe. Place is super clean all the time.
Decent food, they brought home-made bread for free, very tasty. The coffee was brought in almost cold. The interior is not very interesting, poor
I don't know why we had never eaten at CPK after all these years but I'm glad we finally did. Ironically, our first experience of California Pizza Kitchen was in Nevada last month (eh, go figure) and that's when we remembered there is a CPK in our area.The food is so good and the service super friendly. I ordered the Tostada pizza out off curiosity and it is so good, I would get it again without hesitation. Angel was our waiter and was being shadowed by Sawer and they both provided us with the best customer service we've had on a long time.We're definitely returning to it next visit to Santa Barbara.
