Great stylish location with good coffee. If you order online however they won’t make your drink till you show up.
I wish I could say this was a great experience. I came to visit Santa Barbara for the first time with my three sisters and came across Cajé Paseo Via Square. I bought $7 coffees for each of my three sisters and myself. The taste was so bad, one of my sisters said it tasted like raw meat and all of us agreed. We each took a couple sips and could not proceed to torture ourselves any longer. We had to throw each of them away. What a waste of $28.
Pretty good coffee shop! Loved the Faema E61 machine, and the overall vibe of the place. Can't give it 5 stars for 2 reasons. One, it smelled like a musty gym for some reason when we visited. Second, no latte art on a cortado (Gibraltar), I know! I'm being super picky but come on, I love me some latte art on everything milky (- Capp).Good service, good music, good coffee and plenty of seating.
Especially for the price, you’d think this place would be a lot better, unfortunately that was not the case. The roast I got in my latte tasted sour and burnt and the matcha tasted like heavy cream and ice with not one hint of matcha... Needless to say, the drinks were tossed after a few sips and we went to Daily Grind for some good coffee.

This coffee is expensive but it has amazing flavor and their house made almond milk is delicious. Very friendly staff and cute outdoor seating!
Their coffee (and even their whipped cream!) is very strong. Delicious bagels. On the expensive side.

Super friendly baristas and great lattes
This place just exuded high end vibes from the moment we approached. Nice outside area with cool array of chairs, basically an outside coffee lounge (great music playing). The inside of the Caje is also a real vibe. Horizontally mounted record player spinning funk. Great list of drinks. We did two Cortados one of which had a swan which was next level. We ended up sitting out here for an hour and a half and had our family meet us. (They have limited food option but the bagel was great and hit the spot)
