This place came highly recommended, so gave it a try. Has a dive bar on a wharf kind of feel but that is okay sometimes. Food was average at best.

We have been visiting Brophy Bros. for over 20 years. The service is top notch, the food is always great and served the way you request it. Casual vibe, beautiful view of the harbor as well. Hate to make the line longer for a seat but would hate for anyone to miss this jewel!

I was travelling alone and wasn't sure if I'd get a table, but they found room for me the on the lower bar. The bar man was very attentive and eager to make any cocktail I wanted. I ordered a cosmopolitan and it was perfect! I also ordered fish & chips and they were delicious and exactly what I needed. There was good ambience in the bar area and the bar man kept us all entertained. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

Amazing views of the marina and Santa Barbara coastline paired with delicious bites and drinks makes for a great dining experience. I tried the clam chowder and swordfish and it was all delicious. However, I was especially impressed by the savory fish and chips. Everything was fresh and flavorful and the portion sizes were very generous.

My wife and I stopped by here after our Sunset Cruise tour around Santa Barbara. When we checked in, they said the wait was going to be around 30 minutes so we put our name down along with our phone number. They use Yelp waitlist to show you who's ahead of you. We got seated after like 30 minutes and got seated inside. The customer service we received here was amazing. They started off by giving us bread and then my wife ordered her Clam Chowder which was delicious. For our entrée, my wife went with their Shrimp Scampi and I went with their New York steak at medium rare with fries. I loved my steak, it was perfectly cooked to medium rare and had good seasoning. My wife loved her Shrimp Scampi as well because they give jumbo shrimp with the dish.

Nice spot on the water that the locals love! Fresh food, great staff & amazing views! Would recommend to get a reservation or you’ll be waiting a while

Lost our place in “wait” as didn’t respond to text. Told them I had no phone signal when at desk going on list and said we’d come back in 30 minutes . Saying that they the found a table for us. Large portions and attentive servers. Crab and prawn salad was too spicy for me but they offered to make a new one without the spicy sauce.

My wife and I, visiting Santa Barbara for the first time, found this place and had a good time eating a good meal. It is very popular but the wait was less than the estimated 30 mins. It's loud and crowded in a bar-and-tables setting on a pier in the marina; you have the sense that the staff is bringing the food quickly and moving as many people in and out as quickly as possible. So, definitely not "fine dining" but a fun place to be for good food. My wife liked the blackened salmon a lot; I thought the linguine with scallops and shrimp was more of a B or B+.

I'm back in SB after 12 years.I was looking forward to go to Bro For the same "experience " I used to have. Beautiful night in SB invite my best friends for a drink and the soup I was dreaming to have. We get there and is crowded as always,so we go downstairs for a drink while we wait for our table. I order a glass of wine and the server comes back serving my wine in a water glass acting so normal saying that they ran out of wine glass. What??? I'm here looking this beautiful city celebrating with my best friends and they served the wine in a water glass?? What kind of experience is that? We go upstairs and I asked for a wine glass, the server acted like me having a water glass was so normal.I even felt like I was doing something wrong. The Soup arrived not even hot that my friend had to ask to warm it up. The Bred was old. Little and easy things to be resolved in a Restaurant business. For me nowadays is about the experience going out.I know I went to a casual place, but wine in a water glass and Soup that need to be heated? Product/ Service/ Experience Is about that.

Great dinner experience. We had the Seabass and Salmon along with cups of clam chowder and fresh bread. Went during peak hours and only had to wait half an hour or so. Very good food and service!
