Absolutely excellent from start to finish. Bettina really captures the vibe of modern reminiscent Santa Barbara. Waiting for the food was a pleasure with this comfortable but classy esthetic. I ordered the meat lovers pizza with a pavlova dessert and a ginger beer to drink. From one bite to the next, I was never disappointed. If your budget can allow a higher end pizza dinner, this is the place to be.
This is how much pepperoni should be on a pepperoni pizza. Absolutely delicious. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. The arancini balls were yummy, too. Cocktails are unique. Great California ambience. My favorite pizza spot in Santa Barbara!
Really fantastic pizza. Would have been five stars except the seating area outdoors is a bit cramped and in the middle of a shopping plaza without the nicest views and the bathrooms were public for the plaza and we're quite frankly gross. No toilet paper or paper towels. The food is five star quality but the bathrooms really made for a lesser experience...would still recommend but suggest the restaurant look into getting its own bathrooms.
Wonderful food and service. Very cute patio that is dog friendly, they even offered to bring a water bowl for the dog. All the food is super fresh and amazing. Really unique flavor combinations that is fresh and really tasty. Really enjoyed the meatballs as an appetizer. The dough for the pizza is so tasty. The chocolate chip cookie for dessert was very good.
After watching the Food Network's exposure to Santa Barbara before my trip to the city, I had to make a stop at Bettina before heading back home. It was very enjoyable being at this establishment with the welcoming staff and amazing set up with both outdoor and indoor dining. I chose to eat indoors and the pleasant architecture and seating arrangements were good to me. Now to get to the the priorities, the food! I have to say after browsing the menu it was difficult to make a decision because the pizza selection ALL sound great but once I had taken some time I landed on the Maitake Mushroom Pizza which both has a nice ring to it and tasted incredible. The pizza came out wonderfully as you can see from the photos but it was the culmination of the fresh mozzarella, basil and red onions and maitake mushrooms paired with the incredible crust that did it for me. The crust cooked to perfection as well as the pizza and deserves it's own award. I loved the thinly sliced maitake mushrooms that made eating the pizza that much more rewarding. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the Santa Barbara area!
Loved it! West coast pizza can be quite good!! Their salad is On Point also... We would Absolutely come back again and again!!
Great Italian-style pizza with good crust and interesting toppings. The crust was less yeasty than I like and the toppings could have been a bit more flavorful, but this is a great place to grab pizza to go.
I went to this restaurant last week with a friend. We sat at the bar to have dinner. The pizza is excellent. But even more so, the bartender we had, Harley is great. He’s engaging and knowledgeable. He makes great suggestions for food or drinks and he’s just an all round great person who’s enjoyable to interact with. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great pizza and food.
I really liked this place! Our waitress, Gracie, was very sweet and made us feel welcome. The Caesar salad was a little different than most, and very good. My husband especially loved it. Then there was the pepperoni pizza... I honestly loved it! It had a little sweetness to it and a little bit of spice. The pepperoni was delicious and the crust was good... A thin crust but with substance. Then we had the chocolate chip cookie for dessert. So good with a hot cup of coffee!
This is kind of a "see and be seen" kind of place in Santa Barbara. I'm sure I saw a couple of movie stars, I just didn't know who they were. Lots of Aussies here as well. This place can get very busy, so be ready to wait for a table. We were lucky that there were two places at the bar, which was great, and we received phenomenal service. Really fantastic pizza, perfectly made in the Neo style with fresh local ingredients and hot and fresh. Tons of locals here. But the quality of the food, service, and ambiance is outstanding. It's a little off the beaten path at the Montecito Country Mart, but it's a cool space and great vibe with people of all ages. Excellent people watching and wonderful service. A+
