What I like about this place is that it’s zero waste friendly! So you can bring your own containers and the restaurant will fill them with whatever you order for take-out. It’s a nice little restaurant, although it can get pretty busy! The tea they serve there with meals is literally to die for!
Overpriced and poor quality chicken and steak teriyaki. It was served cold with bottled sauce and without tempura. The chicken was very dry and the beef was very gristly. At $20 a plate I was very disappointed.
Good food and good customer service. Their super California roll is so tasty with baked eel on top, 15 bucks. Food took a little long to come.
Greatest sushi in south coast … try the yellowtail with yuzu, salt and lemon , good service
The food had change for long time is not the same no more the flavor from the food taste different is to expensive I have been going there for a long time now I go to a different place and is the best place to go eat with the family. I stopped by San Kai for lunch for the first time, and it hit the spot. I ordered their lunch special, which was the bento box. It had a little bit of everything like sashimi, chicken, salad, salmon, and a tofu nugget. Also, my friend and I ordered their yellowtail sashimi with the jalapeño on top. Of course, I had to wash everything down with an iced cold Sapporo. ?This restaurant is located in the same plaza as Inka Mamas and Yogurtland off Bristol and Sunflower. Literally across the street from South Coast Plaza.
The food was great but the prices were higher then I was expecting
They are doing everything right- fish quality and flavor, presentation, service. Just enough variety on the menu to keep you interested but not too much to overwhelm you. Best salmon sushi quality I’ve had in a long while. It is so soft it just melts in your mouth. The crunchy roll and blue crab hand roll were both excellent as well. New go-to sushi place for us when we’re in the area!
One of my favorite spot. Try the ?Spider sankai sushi. Really recommend it
